I don't think rep titles go towards favour.

Well... 2 days later and the favor has dropped to 4,680, or by 500/day.
I fully agree that favor will start to work as intended when we get back to zero, but I disagree with the view that we will still have it ~75% of the time. I do not think that there will be enough people maxing titles to keep it at that kind of level, and at the very least it could become geocentric with players who play the same timezone as the continent achieving the most 'having the favor '.
For arguements sake, if most titles are achieved by Americans then the chance is that players in other continents will not benefit from access time when the current mechanic is meant to reward everyone, not just the continent with the most achievers.

Are'nt we owed 28,000 mins after the overflow glitch wiped it out over the last last SS/LB weekend?
Remembering a loong way back
By Sat evening favor hit 36K, it reset to 0
By the end of the event we had earned some 32K back.
Deducting the amount Anet said we did'nt earn leaves us with 28K min in credit.
*hides and runs*

Favor isn't awarded by region anymore though. It's granted to the "world" through titles equally isn't it?

I don't think that many would QQ. The smart thing to do would do go and buy tons of FoW/UW scrolls which are like 100-200 gold and then re-sell them when they get expensive or just use them.

UW scrolls cost 1.2K earlier today. I believe the FoW scrolls are 800g.
Before the huge amount of favor, people were selling scrolls because they weren't available at the merchant like Shadow Arts runes atm. Some were willing to pay 2,5K-3K for each scroll. So investing in scrolls might be a good move.
Anyway, my guess would be that many thought of this allready and bought a huge amount of scrolls. Which means they will flood the market with scrolls when the favor runs out and the price might actualy go down.
Farming bosses earned more gold when some scrolls drop every now and then. And I know of enough people who have saved all their UW/FoW scrolls for that moment when favor is gone.
Also a sudden nerf to a few farm builds might reduce the number of scrolls wanted to farm. Which means that the ecto price would rise. So investing in ecto's instead of scrolls might even be better.
Offcourse the word might is a keyword in my post. Nothing is for sure.

No they are not ; minimal sell price : 500gp[at trader] ; minimal buy price [at trader] : 1k .
Elite scroll traders do exist people :/
I wish people would stop posting nonsense on forums ; but then again thats like wishing for worldpeace I guess .

I think he's imaging a scenario in which the amount of favor earned each day lasts for a few hours then runs out. When west coast US would provide a bump into a few hours of favor in the evening, Europeans may be asleep, and would miss out, creating the effect of a favor system based on time zone.

Yes, I screwed you by taking back what I said I would give, but I was still giving it to you, and you still came out way ahead. You should be happy they atleast you gave you something. Anet could easily say, "due to the problems that pop up more often in weekend events than in weekdays, we are going to stop the bonus weekends." It's the simplest solution, and frankly the deserving solution considering the exuberant amounts of complaining and whining they receive daily.

No, that's not what it's like. It's like saying "The way you can earn access to content you paid for is by maxing titles."
Players maxed titles, which was their end of the deal. And, as Cthon explained above, each character has a finite number of titles. It's not as though players can go back and redo those titles later at a rate Anet is happier with. They are gone. I think it's perfectly fine for Anet to change they way they do favor, after they reinstate the minutes the players earned. But to just erase them.....no. As Palawa Joko said, "A Deal's a Deal".
Believe me, I'm the first guy to call out players' false senses of entitlement, but this is, like, actual entitlement.
Better yet, Anet could eliminate the ridiculous favor system entirely. It's always been an awful idea.

The scroll trader gives 1k for it, the merchant 500g. A lot of people don't know this and sell for 700-900g as they only check at the merchant at ToA. I even encountered a perma sin who sold his scrolls (700g a piece) and went right in again whispering me: 'That was a weird trade, I just paid 1k to get in'.
me: 'Uh yeah mate, tx btw and hf farming the globs.'
