So....in a game based on running well assembled builds, using a good build equates to being cheap and having no skill? I guess everyone is supposed to run around with starter weapons from pre and nothing but [Flare] on their skill bar?
If you run a bad build you're just a noob. Run a good build and you're still a noob, so I guess PvP in general just makes you a noob then. This is why I can't stand to PvP anymore.

There is a difference between kiting and running around to make match last longer while having no chances to win 4 vs 1.

They were good when the guy that made them played them, they became lame when they went meta. Also there are a lot of builds that require quite a bit more practice to play well, for example a magebane ranger is considerably harder than a SoJ sin.

RA is pretty much build wars. You cannot beat everything, live with it.
an Sway ranger will do nothing at all against a water ele / a cripshot ranger
Touch rangers can easely be dispatched with using some snares and ranged damage.
a signet sin will be lost against a decent interupt ranger. (just dshot dancing daggers and take out signets left and right).
The whole "if you can't beat them, join them" is stupid. You cannot beat everything buildwise. That's where gameplay comes into account.
It's like bringing [[convert hexes] and [[divert hexes] because you lose the hex teams. Instead of just knocking some sense into your ranger to interupt the key hexes to lessen the preasure. (this goes more for organised PvP like GvG).
You cannot outbuild everything in RA, but you can play smart and lessen your opponents effectiveness.
