Easy answer. Of course it should be split 50/50. You have a human on the other side of it and each needs the other to do the run.

I think with the mixture of feelings, I'm going to have to say:

Do what feels best for you.

Either way, just try to have fun...it's just fake money.

This logic applies to all of the roleplaying aspect of GW. I use this logic every time I want to work on my Legendary Guardian and I have yet to be proven wrong. Guild members are the only humans I will work with now.

On topic: The 600 and Smiter should agree before the run starts as to who will get the payment.

Human smiters absolutely do not deserve to be paid. They have about 3 minutes worth of work. They should get a free run & be entitled to any drops they get. That's it. Shame on smiters who think they deserve anything - you're lucky for getting to sit on your hiney while someone else does all the work.

if you're doing something like FoW or UW than obviously you need to split 50/50 as both players are doing it purely to farm...
if you do CoF or whatever to farm titles than both players get their title regardless of loot thus the 600 who works a bit harder, but still not that hard, should get more. but it has to be agreed on before you start the run...

No way, smiters who ask for 50/50 are allready getting drops AND a free run, I USE -- HERO Smiters they dont charge, they dont aggro, they dont d/c ... why use human smiters AT ALL? even if you use a hero smiter for constant sb apply you can still do that with heros just fine.

Human smiters are simply totaly useless and the fact they ask for 50% of your profits is just asinine.

oh, unless your talking about like UW or FoW 600/smite ecto/shards drops

That might be ok to split.. I dont do these so I dont have a basics really, some people perfer human smiter split over hero split.

Dunno.

I think you should just get what drops naturally from the loot share system.
Thats really the fairest way.

It just pisses me off how u think unappropriate of other works... "Smite doesn't do anithing, 600 do all the works...".
Added some of u to my ignore list... don't want to deal with u... u're just too childish to understand how the logic of life applies to everything.
GW is a game, but ppl playing this game are REAL and deserve a "real life" treat, so even if all i have to do is "click just once my mouse button" this is the work i have to do, and i have to be paid for.
What do u think if a smite after "the 3 minute work" simply leave the game?
Is the 600 useless this way?
For ppl like u i propose to just play alone, don't group with other ppl, just play alone.
Play with ur H/H is safer for everyone.

We alternate on runs, the person doing the 600 gets the money.

I do full 600/smite cof runs at 2.5k per and give the smiter 6k...because I hate having to flag a hero around. I get 16/16, a human brain to be able to rebirth in a pinch, weapon switching for energy/speed...every 600 I've smited for has said they enjoy me as a smiter rather than a hero, because I actually DO something. Not everyone dies, but it's something people have to deal with sometimes. With a human smiter I can push myself as a 600 harder, take more risks, become a better tank and perform faster runs for more overall profit per hour, as well as a good reputation among runnees. I already have about 6 people per day whispering me at different times looking for runs.

At a glance ( if i missed it then sorry ) but no1 seems to consider that heros take 1/2 the loot and money anyway - something i reckon anet shud ditch as we tend to pay for the heros stuff ourselves lol.

Hero smiters > Human smiters.

-Hero smiters can be flagged

There's more, but I'm too lazy. You get my point?
I agree with what is said except for one other option.

Second Computer+second account+smiter > Hero smiters > Human Smiter.
  • Twice the number of drops
  • Twice the amount of gold
  • Better control of the smiter
  • You can actually see where the smite is standing
  • The smite does what you want them to do without question
  • Once you done it enough it is easy

When I was running CoF so many people would try to talk to my smite and the reaction I would get when I told them pm the smite is useless. Funniest thing was one guy trying to get the smite to come with him so he could run CoF.

If I didn't have a second account there is still no way I would take a human smite, just too many problems. But to answer you question, smite should get paid, doesn't work without them.

Always settle this at the start - and my take is that the runner takes all payment.

My view is the smiter is getting a free run and is 2k up an everyone else. The runner is not beholdin to the smiter because the runner always has the option to cut out the smiter completely and take a hero. The smiter does not have the same leverage - they depend on the runner.

For the 30 secs of work at the start of each map I think the free run is more than adequate recompense for the work they do. Expecting more on the part of the smiter is greed to me.

The role of the hero has changed the relationship and given the upper hand to the runner. If there were no heros in GW then you are back in time when they each needed the other - that's the time to share and share alike.

Simple rule - smiters need human runners - runners no longer need human smiters. That wasn't the case when the relationship started but it is the case now. The smiters lot in life now is to be thankful for free runs whenever they can be arranged.

Cheers
Davros

I have done both smite and 600 and I would be ashamed to give the smite less than 50% of the income. It's not like the dungeon is hard or something - one of the easiest runs in the game, which is why so many people do it.

human smiter greater than hero smiter.

dual 16 attrib or 17 attrib if they are good.

plus human smiters dont need heals in CoF unless they are morons.

It should be entirely at the discretion of the 600.

its very simple even tho the 600 does alot of work the run will not work without the smite.

so in that sense its a I need you/you need me deal, 50/50 makes sense in these situations.

yes you can take a hero and keep the money thats the wonderful thing about a hero.

i do like to bring human smiters: ONLY friends and guildis i trust, they not only give me company and chat with me, they do the run more fun and help me to keep in line the groups while i do my 600 role,
i love sharing with them the proffits because they take an important role in the run, they are not only a dummy-bonder-looter, so they deserve it
