And like some other posters pointed out, you can't deny that sex appeal is a factor in GW. Just look at the covers of the boxes, or the in-game female outfits: 15k gladiator (I shall now tank with my leather bra!), 15k Druids, Enchanter's (go figure -- the skimpiest outfits give the most energy), ANY of the elementalists -- esp. in Factions. I mean, the female warrior Kurzick armor has a thong going up the ass! And just check out the IMPOSSIBLE bounce factor on the females when they emote. Blame Anet, not us!

Panaku is still hot as hell, though. xD

this isnt a flame but a reminder that there is a life beyond gaming and seriously if you are attracted to millions of little pixels then its time to visit a "doctor"

Key words: VISUAL, and APPEAL.
It doesn't mean we get off on finding the characters remotely attractive, it's artistic value. Same as people who find anime characters cute or attractive, it's visual appeal. It's not like we all sit here going "Hey, I wanna **** Nika, YEAH. GW pr0n!!!!"
You can't deny that the GW box art is visually appealling, or that Devona in the Prophecies trailer is fairly attractive, AS IT STANDS IN THE VIDEO GAME WORLD. Not like people who obsess over characters like Cloud Strife, and vow never to date because their heart belongs with a 3-dimensional, and fictional character. No, the people of this forum may seem strange, but we're not mentally ill. And if I am mentally ill, get me Dr. Mei Lin Jones from Plastic Little, please, and thanks. hahaha.

The only difference between GW NPCs and reall life ppl is that they can't have you arrested for sexual harrasment.I don't find them attractive as real life human counterpart it is just look very nice for pixelated char. not like those cartooney looking WoW chars.

Visual appeal can relate to absolutely anything.
It's the point of the concept art and the art in general, that's why they MAKE it, to APPEAL to the public. That's basically what everyone is saying when they claim a 'pixelated' character is 'hot'. It appeals to them. There's a vast difference in attraction to a human being an attraction to a fictional, rendered being.
Take some art classes or read a book about it, christ.
The same thing would apply to if you created your own character, drawn on paper, and a friend saw it and said, "Wow, that character is really attractive."
To which an art teacher would probably reply, "You should focus more on beings that people wouldn't normally consider attractive (stereotypically), every character created these days is attractive in some way or another to the public. People don't want to play heroes that are portrayed as fat slobs, they want buff, strong rendered males and sleak, fit, attractive females."
Words from my own art teacher. And the same thing applies with anything else media-related that has to appeal to the public. Nobody wants to see overweight women in bikinis in Maxim magazine, and I mean no offense to anybody who may possibly be overweight, but it's the truth. Media seeks only the visually appealling to get what it needs done, done.

So if you had a friend who thought that about a character you created, would you assume they were sick and needed to get a life? No.
We are not necessarily friends of the developers but we can acknowledge when they've done a good job rendering the female form, put it that way.

Stop overreacting.
The basis of this thread is a joke in the first place.

I love how people just sink themselves deeper and deeper into their own "mud" (or something like that).
Saying that a people who find a work of art (which is what all GW models are) attractive are wierd or mentally ill, is like saying that people who like cars are insane.
They are designed to appeal to the average people (both cars and the models), and so many will claim them to be attractive. They are not saying "I want to hump that Mercedes up the tailpipe", they are simply comenting that it is visually apealing.

Finally, next time you go to your porn sites (and I'm pretty sure you will), rember that what you are seeing is simply a bunch of pixels on your screen, because you will very likely never meet any of the people shown.
