Best looking swords are:

1 Long Sword (Clean Classic AWESOME)
2 Crenellated Sword (Just plain Badass)
3 Sunqua Blade (THIS IS SPARTAAAA!!)
4 Golden Phoenix Blade (Cool name cool design, Looks great)
5 Runic Blade/Greater Sage Blade (not sure what I like better both great looking)
Honorable mentions: Fell Blade, Gothic Sword, Tengu Sword.

Ugliest are:
1 Crystalines (only good thing is the rediculous price if you happen to get one, they are ugly as hell)
2 Destoryer Sword (FUGLY, soo retarded looking)
3 Half of Nightfalls swords (sloppy, they dont look like Anet tried)
4 Vertebreaker (just fugly)
5 Brute Sword (fugly)

Best looking Axes

1 Runic Axe (most badass weapon in GW)
2 Pyroclastic Axe (2nd most badass weapon in GW)
3 Kanaxais Axe (One of the best skins and best skinned greens)
4 Gothic Dual Axe (Just plain awesome)
5 Stygian Reaver (I love thinking about how it would just shread someone if you beat em with it in RL)
Honorable Mentions: Victos Axe, Ungula Axe, Chaos Axe,
Ugliest Axes

1 Double BLaded Axe/Kyhlo Axe, Great Axe (all the same skin and ugly as hell)
2 Ancient Axe (looks like a double sided comb)
3 Halo Axe (yeah just ugly)
4 Morning Star Axe (who the hell thinks of stuff like that)
5 Grinning Dragon Axe (same as above)

Best Looking Shields

1 Arrahhahaarrrarahrarrashs Aegis (like the spiked targe only slightly bigger I would beat someone with it half the time)
2 Shield of the Wing (Just plain cool)
3 Enameled Shield (very good design, sweet looking)
4 Darkwing Defender (same as above)
5 Sun and Moon Shield (nice looking shield with the same name as an awesome sword attack)
honorable mentions: Sharktooth shield, Exalted Aegis, Amethyst Aegis, Shield of the Lion.

Ugliest Shields

1 Tribal Shields (one of the ugliest items in GW)
2 Runic Shield/Crude Shield (same thing and Fugly)
3 Emblazoned Defender (just ugly)
4 Istani Shield (fugly)
5 not sure and too lazy to figure it out right now

Best-looking anything?

I admit I have a weak spot for the Rose Focus - looks great on my mesmer - but I think the best-looking anything in the game has to be the Exalted Aegis. It's just a shame it's got zero thickness and lacks texture on the backside.

Shields:

1. Shield of the Wing/Aegis
2. Shield of the Lion (clips with many armors unfortunately, goes well with 15k Gladiator)
3. Gloom Shield
4. Crude Shield
5. Eagle Defender

Aureate Aegis is a close runner up for Paragons. The Defender is cool, too. Basically one more roman style shield. Undead Shield + Tengu Shield are such a pity. The Undead shield is flat like a wooden plank dyed black. The Tengu Shield floats too far away from my Warrior and is held in a very different way than all other shields. If this would not be the case, they would rock.

Hint: You can get inscribable +30 HP / free insc. slot r9 STR Milita Shields from a collector in GWEN, and also r9 Aureate Aegis shields (for motivation only, unfortunately).

Sword- Long sword <3

Ugliest Sword- Elemental. Am I the only one that thinks that this sword looks like ice cream?
