If they do, they had better up the drop rate so we all get a decent crack at it. >_>

Interesting. Despite all the negative responses on this thread, my first reaction was "sweet." I like snowball arena. Won't be around for long enough to get a lot of points. Normally wintersday lasts for like 3 weeks, best time to work on getting higher gamer ranks. I might be able to get rank 3 though.
I wonder how they will do victory tokens/whatever for said arena (they have had a couple different ways, given stuff to only the winning team, both teams, tokens, only ale, or a random "gift box")?

I'll be raptor farming. No polar bear drop quest settled that bet.

I hope more events like this come about. These actually make the game far more interesting for us. I just hope they implement more things like this. I'd like to see a during the weekend elite mission with 12 players with new drops that forbids Ursan and Shadow Form. =]

Default Wintersday In July Clarification

Quote:
For the Wintersday in July special weekend event, the only thing that will be turned on are the Snow Arenas. It takes a full live build to put up and take down the town art and decorations, so doing that is a lot more involved and takes much more resources and preparation. --Regina Buenaobra 22:56, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Just incase people are still confused about what is going on. So no collectors, no polar bears, no hats, wintersday decoration theme and game points!

No matter how many times it's said, there's still going to be over 9000 people asking what the hat is this year.

I'm sure I can find a vegetarian American who is just as bad at geography as the hamburger eater. I bet I could also find a hamburger eating geography major.

The comment was asinine and the most asinine statement in the entire thread. All the anti-whoever posts are but that one really took the cake.
I was only pointing out the intention, I didnt necessarily agree with it. Honestly, I think you're blowing this out of proportion.

Television networks do the same thing every year. I'm actually surprised we haven't seen thing type of thing already.

Either way it's a good idea. It's a quick thought but it's a thought nonetheless.
