What are you looking forward to in GW2?
I used the search function and didn't find anything so if this has already been made I apologize.
Guild Wars 2 is coming out (hopefully) next year, and of course it will be different from what we have now. My question is, what are you looking forward to (whether it be something new or something we currently have)? Here is my list:
- Being able to jump off cliffs instead of having to go around them (that's so annoying)
- Having a bigger selection of what characters to play (race, profession, etc.)
- More selections for my newspaper (hehe I am looking forward to that, honestly - more interesting than all-human stories )
- Higher or no level cap
- Swimming, climbing, etc. (things we can't do now)
- The new party forming option, and (if I remember right) being able to do it outside of towns
- Possible pet stable
- An actual use for things in HOM, as well as a fresh start with a new character and name
I know there is more but that's all I can think of at the moment.
Also, what are you hoping that they'll keep in Guild Wars 2 that they have now? I hope they keep the mini pets and holiday events.
What about everyone else?

An end to GW2 speculation threads...
...and a new beginning.
Mostly to see what they do with the other races and being able to move on an X,Y,Z axis. Other than that, there really isn't enough information out there to KNOW what to look forward to.

So? There could be something that I forgot to mention that others are looking forward to. Excuuuuuse me. And there is no law saying you have to read my threads. Instead of trying to get a +1 post count by saying I make pointless threads, just don't read it. It's easy, you should try it and so should all the other flamers.

All the QQ threads from people bitching about the class they used to enjoy playing not being how it was in GW1 anymore.

What I am looking forward to:
Another broken economy.
More useless PvE grinding.
Anet without a vision listening to the majority and making boneheaded mistakes about it.
Anet making a number of bad skill balancing calls.
Anet adding too many useless skills to the game.
People complaining about all of the above.
200 levels of grinding for 3 months so you'd have a chance to compete against the people who maxed out in a week and are complaining about the low level cap.
Listening to people complain about the low level cap.
Going through a lot of posts of people arguing over why a low level cap system (20) is a lot better than a high cap system (200).
Another shallow crafting system.
Dwarves but no elves (there is something seriously wrong with that)
And finally, a game that has everyone leave because they are either board or are tired of title grinding.
Am I close to what GW2 will be like?

I'm looking forward to see if Anet will recognize all the mistakes in Guild Wars even though they have now been fixed, but left some players with quite a big bank. A fresh start is what I'm looking at.

I second that. Also hoping they abandon any skills linked to grinding titles.

The ability to leap off tall things and die for fun. This is an experience that makes video games just so great.
"That is really tall! Imma jump off of it. kthxbai."
I'm not joking. This is actually one of the biggest factors I'm looking for. If there isn't anything tall to jump off of, I'm going to be disappointed.
I'm just hoping it doesn't suck like Everquest 2.
