It was such a disappointment, I'd get a refund for it if I could.

I liked it. I think it was definitely worth the $10 USD I paid for it and I have no regrets about buying it. It was fun from the moment I bought it.

These things lead me and my friends to retirement from GW. And we're not talking about boredom here. The way the game currently works is just not right and it's putting me off.
How I miss the days of Prophecies, when there were no things such as grind and time > skill. If Anet wants GW2 to be a successful game, then they need to get back to the roots of Prophecies.

Get off your high horse. There were movements on here and other places way back when before titles were made crying out for more character progression. How would they do it without increasing the level cap? Have titles. And now they are being hailed as the downfall of GW. One reason why the GW community never knows what they want. Another is PvE skills, as many people had a fit over the extreme difficultly of DoA, gems being >100k, tormented weapons being the most leet things ever. Anet comes up with more powerful PvE skills to help with such daunting tasks, and now people absolutely hate them. Go figure. Screw this community.

Am, I the only one?
As title says.
My favorite campaign/expansions is Proph and EotN here is why.
Proph:
The game was long, it did take a long time to play through. I liked how it emersed you in the story and quests. YOU are the story. I like that I was not level 20 in 3 days. I like that it took forever to get a coveted "perfect" weapon drop and in max armor. There was only 1 "god" build and it only worked in certain areas. The graphics and armors were also great. The tutorial area was seperated from the rest of the game by a 1 way "event". Tutorial area is so nice that some people NEVER leave. Salvageing was a risk. Skills were learned through quests more so than from trainers. You were not "ascended" for most of the story and needed to prove your worth.
The start of the "bad"
Factions:
Game was short, the main city was a slum. It was geared for "the casual player" level 20 or near it before getting of noob island. Max armor right off noob island. The "war" between the kurz/lux is a joke. Most were hoping for a mass combat style area w/ 50+ on a side. The Graphics were horrible: slums, a "sea" of blue green jade, the best place is the forest areas and they are dark and so,so. Noob island was very nice, I really enjoyed that area. The story was less about you and your journy and more about NPC's. Intro to perfect end game weapons. By far, in my opinon, the worst expantion.
Nightfall:
Intro of inscriptions. Personnally I hate them, they take all the perfect drop out of a perfect drop. The intro of heroes. I like heroes. At this point the community was really starting to wear thin. They incorporate heroes to fill the void. Not to mention PUGs were very irritating by this point and have not gotten any better. Unfortunatly, the story line had nothing to do with you and was all about heroes or Kormir, that you never felt a connection to. Graphics were better than factions but not by much. I really liked the "nightmare" lands. Main city only allows you to have 4 people in party and is on noob island. Get max armor before getting off noob island. I also liked the Margonites but think they should have been any color other than purple/pink. The "elite" area was hard, end boss near unbeatable unless you glitched it or were with a awsome team. I also liked that the elite areas took a few hours to do.
EotN:
More heroes, this time you felt connected with. Excellect graphics all around. A good story line. You are back in the spot light w/ your heros. Intro of dungeons, Great Idea, fell very short. I was hoping for that "dungeon crawl" feel which it severly lacks, some areas are clones of another. The HoM great Idea, but peoples expectations were very over the top, which led to disappointment.
It was for level 20's only and should be reverted back to this state. The greatest horror to be introed into the game is UB. I like how they also incorporated the dragons/gw2 story into this area/cinimatics.
Over all, I like areas/armors/weapons/ basically anything that is locked, or you need to do somthing to gain entrance/ get it. It means more to you when you do. I also liked the BMP. I do not like consumables in any way except for "in town" only items. They destroyed hard mode/ elite areas. It is supposed to be HARD. Why give us Hard mode, just to take it away/ make it easy. I also like how skills are tied to titles. I wish all skills were this way that they would get stronger as you slowly gained rank/used them, on top of your atribute points. (Maybe not for pvp, lol.)
I am a pve player and seldom pvp. Perhaps the system in gw2 will be more to my liking for pvp as it sounds fun.
If you could not tell, this is ENTIRLY my opinon. As such, I am entitled to it. I also tried to not include spoilers. Soz, for wall o text.

I so surprissed how the guru community is so....so...stupid and STUBBORN omg...so...so...so...STUBBORN, like children they let their emotions get the better of them over a bloody game, yes that is right, a game, not life support, you didn't pay for life support and they turned the power off, you payed for a game...a game... and not very expensive one at that.
"Oh no I need to max every single gwen title," actually no, you don't need to max every single gwen title, maybe only ursan and that is if you find it really difficult to find a non ursan pug and even then you only relly need r7. Ofcourse I find ursan annoying but you really can't expect Anet to make a perfect game. Another stupid thing that pissed me of was that players got annoyed that they had to earn elite armour, and not it is not the fact you had to grind, because both you and I both know that there wasn't that much grind to get to r5 r10 is a bit of a joke but r5 is fine. Dungeon are fun, the reward factor is quite bad i agree, but the dungeons alow you to interact with enviroment much more than in the other campaigns and in some dungeons you have to take a different approach to killing your enemies. The Missions in GWEN are short and fun, (The only time I think there should ever be a long mission is if it is an elite mission, no mission should be longer than half an hour) I love the Ebon Vanguard missions, you interact with the eviroment so much more than usual with blowing stuff up and mounting siege devouers and i love the fact that you kill stuff you get stronger like in other rpgs like the ones in get in your playstation.
If you get bored of repetively doing the same stuff don't do it.
I am going to use a annalergy on what Gorge Lucas said about Star Wars E3, (even though I hate him and every starwars that wasn't 4 and 5) if he gave the film the fans wanted it would be darth Vader walking around and killing everybody and it would be shit, the same way if Anet gave the game the Guru community wanted it would be just prophecies all over again and we would loose interest, anbd it would be shit and unorignal, and only leet players would be playing and Anet would be making no money at all becaue it would be game with a smalll community who are very rich and very skilled but very small because all the people who aren't that great would give up because they can't cope.
GWEN was actually a breathe of fresh air because it was actually difffent from the other campaigns, it had someith ing new to offer.

I enjoyed it, I think the story and the mission layout were done far better than in the other campaigns, although the game was very clearly rushed, and I didn't like the idea of having to grind to get the armour.

i'm getting tired about ursan QQ.
when doa was released i would come on here and all i would read was QQ that wahhhh i dont have time to play the game for 18 hours to be able to to do doa, make it easier for everyone anet you assholes this game shouldn't be about the few elite players who have no lives.
ursan gets released i come on here and all i read is QQ that wahhhh you made everything too easy anet you assholes. now i can do anything i want easily! how dare you bastards gives us exactly what we wanted a few months ago in a way that if we really dont want to use it and have a challenge we can go ahead and do that, but still make it so that those who want to casually do high end areas can too! assholes!
i hate you gw community, i hate you.
and yes i liked EoTN. storyline was more fluid and didn't seem forced like nightfall. i liked the whole 3 different story chain idea, a little more flexibility in how you want to play the game. i like the dungeons, gives you something to come back to after the game is over. good ideas, maybe not the best execution but w/e it lays down the foundation pretty well for what they want to do with gw2.

mmhm.. Elite guilds? i dont know ANY single PvE guild that have rank requipment and what rank? elite guilds dont use ursan.
But the thing is
Proph>Factions>Eotn>Nf
Nf just sucks in my opinion, Eotn too grindy and all those PvE skills etc are worse in my opinion..
So i didnt like EotN, but still it was better then Nf.

Things I liked:
-Most of the armor was pretty nice
-The landscape was beautiful
-The IDEA of adding dungeons was nice
-PvE skills are pretty fun
-A lot of nice weapon skins
-Good storyline
-Good cut-scenes
Things I didn't like:
-Every dungeon looked exactly the same
-Reskins
Note: If people spent as much time working on titles as they spent BAWWWWWWWing about them, everyone would be a god walking among mere mortals by now. We know you don't like them. You don't need to tell us anymore.
If you want the titles:
1. Shut up
2. Grind
3. Win
If you don't want the titles:
1. Keep playing the game the way you want to
2. Win
If you want the titles but are too damn lazy to get them:
1. Whine about it on GWguru
2. Open GW
3. Whine about it in Spamadan
4. ????
5. PROFIT!!!

I seriously doubt you did every quest and all 18 dungeons in a weekend. Thats not happening. Horse crap statements like this is why forums lose their creditability. People make up lies to support their flaky positions.

There is no Guild Wars community. There are players who want the game easy, there are people who want the game to be a challenge. People who wanted to make DoA easier were the ones who want the game easy. People who complained about the overpowered skill that is Ursan were the ones who want the game to be challenging. You can't put both of those types of players in the same group.

It had the potential to be amazing and failed in every respect.
No real content
Crappy story
Reskinned armor
Crap high-end weapons
Superlative title grind
Graphical bugs all over the place
Terrible power creep
To be honest, I sort of equate EotN with the final Star Wars (III) production-wise. Tried to go back to its roots, but in the end, cheapened everything that was great, and the overall production was simply appallingly mediocre.

Yes I did like it and I still do like it. I didnt have any preconceived notions of "how it should and must be" going into it so maybe that is why I still enjoy playing. I maxxed the titles on my main and so far have been able to get at least one armor set for 3 other characters. It is an enjoyable distraction so well worth my money to me.

I liked:
the new armor - but not needing to grind rank for it
Jora! Livia!! Gwen! & extra heroes
some of the new skills (and tehre are some that you wonder why they weren't in the game before)
but, there are a lot of imba things in the game, and that has hurt all the campaigns overall sincce those imba skills can be used by everyone everywhere (except PvP - which I don't do so far)
cool regions and things to see
but overall - could have done without it. (Glad I bought it on sale, ~$17 US)
