Aaaaaages ago when Sorrow's Furnace was new, some nice person gave my necro (my only character, and I was poor) Morgriff's Scepter and The Shadestone for free when I was asking around about good necro weapons.

So recently I was finally able to kinda complete that circle by giving the same weapon-set to another newbie necro (since I'd managed to acquire spare duplicate copies of the weapons in the meantime...don't remember quite how :S) who was asking much the same question.

A few days back I was in Shing Jea Monastery, quite bored, and some guy aksed if anyone liked cookies. Given the random things everyone says in there, well I replied that I did and such x]. The guy ran up to me, opened trade and gave me a pumpkin cookie for free. Yeah, it's a single pumpkin cookie, but I thought it was really nice of him =].

the nicest person I ever met was someone who was running to all the crystal desert outposts and missions for free, just because she liked helping people who couldn't seem to get there.

I have someone in my guild who is always more than willing to help anyone with a mission when he is on, and offers advice without making me feel like a dumbass. To me thats what I see as someone who is the nicest.

I really do not ask for anything item or gold wise because I find it rude to ask, and when people ask me I give them a big fat hell no

Christmas 2006 I was scammed out of 30k in Lions Arch (don't ask) and I was moaning because I was going to spend the money on Christmas presents. Some very, very kind person whispered me, then traded me 30k and wished me a merry christmas. He/she was the kindest person I've ever met.

I was in maybe my 2nd PUG and someone asked why I didn't have any Elite skills. When we were done playing the person told me to follow them with a Cap sig.

Took me to get Searing Flames

When I asked if I could tip or something they said just help someone later.

I'm tyring to live up to me end of the bargain.

Well I guess the nicest people that I've met are all mainly guildies. I do recall once a guy helped me farm a green that I had wanted for a week but had no luck dropping. He gave it to me when it dropped for him after I asked, "Are you sure?" several times.

I was trying to get the last 0.01% of cantha explored by trying to get banished against shiro, and a ranger very kindly kept doing the mission with me several times before i got it.

That was nice.

Definently the legendary R/W droks runner and the creator of the D/A era of drok running (who were both my teachers at one time) Rekai Tsubasa and Feel The Slipstream.

Because of them I first started making money and got a lot of new online friends. I still thank them to this day. Kinda sad that they don't play anymore.

Id like to post here and thank whoever it was that took the time 33months ago to explain to a lvl 11 wammo why picking up golds and purples is a good idea and why you should merch white items. Unfortunatly i cant recall your name but i do remeber we were outside borlis pass.

the leader is a very nice guy, not the brightest player but very nice and likes to help out. Everyone in the guild is very helpful twords eachother. I think its a rare guild......

not long after prophecies release and i'd joined my first guild. the guild leader ran me around the shiverpeaks so i could buy better skills/armor/etc. he just generally showed me the ropes of the game i hadn't picked up on yet and was a great guy all around.
wish he still played and that the guild didn't die when he left.

During my first couple of weeks in CV, one of the officers came up to me in the GH and gave me a Red Iris Flower and a little speech about how glad she was to have me here. She was doing a similar thing for all the guildies because it was Valentine's Day, but the personal touch was still really moving.

Way back before I was even playing on my own account, my little Warrior had just made it to post and encountered a guy running to Piken Square. From there, he said he felt inspired, and ran to Yak's Bend...and Beacon's Perch...and Droknar's Forge. For free. I still remember watching his progress, needing to discover the zoom-out function on the map to see the whole thing, and suddenly realizing how huge GW was.

This thread is making me think that I should go back to selling decent white items for their merchant price in Ascalon. I did it for a while and people really appreciated it, but then I fell out of the habit.

Back when I had only been in GW for a month, only had Factions, people in SJM were talking about where they were in the game and I was saying I had been stuck on the "big squid" for nearly a week. A lovely ele asked me to join team, grabbed an assassin friend and ran me though to a masters in about 10 minutes flat.

It was nothing to her and her friend to do the mission, but it meant a week of getting smacked around by Argo or a squid was at an end.

So she is the nicest person I've met, but I have met some other really nice people.

Especially a lovely little monk with horns.

During my first hour of Guild Wars a level 18 asked if I was a new player. I said yes and then she asked if I needed help or had any questions. We talked for awhile and she proceeded to explain some of the games workings with me and where some nice quests were. She had no reason at all. Didn't ask me to join a guild or anything.

The nicest person I've ever seen on GW, is a character called "Storyteller Seyah" She's/He's never spoken to me, but I watch them (In a non perverted way..) She/He sits in Champions Dawn two times a week, telling stories to people who want a break from grinding. She/He always gets flamed by the odd random idiot for telling kids stories, but she/he carries on regardless. It's nice to see someone just trying to entertain the masses for selfless purposes.

I for one, enjoy her/his stories. Yes, they are random stories about carrots or caves or moles, but it's just nice to listen and relax.
