I guess titles would have to be my answer.

Although, with my guild and friends I have got 29 maxed atm, just grinding Kurzick faction now...

I am not convinced it is possible for anyone to have achieved 30+ titles without having been rich at some point.

I expect the idea of the thread is to say which you would rather have if this were not the case, but I'm not sure I can actuallyseparate the 2 in my mind.

I suppose the logical choice would be titles, for the reason everyone else gave.

Titles I suppose. Money has no real point in GW, and I have had tons and tons of it in days past. I pursued titles to a point, then burned out on them. They really dont have a point either though, ie, there's no point in just waving a magic wand to max them. The point of titles is just to pursue them. Imho, far better than simply being rich though.

Titles. You can't take the cash with you, and there really isn't anything left in the game that's worth buying with all that wealth other than titles.

You can't get 30+ titles without being rich, and if you're rich you can probably buy your way to the titles. They're not mutually exclusive.

Rich.

Maily since I don't give a (Insert curse of choice) about titles.
And need money for elite armor for the rest of my characters.
Rather have the armor in GW2 than the titles..

I'd rather not be awful at the game.

To clarify: not awful = being like chiizu, not being like a random guy with GWAMM.

Not really. Hasnt anything to do with the OP's topic options and someone else raised it earlier in the thread:

I'd prefer to be rich, so I could buy the titles then ebay all the gold.

Beat me to it. Sell the weapons, buy your titles, sell for actual money. I can deal with a permanent ban for a little cash. And don't tell me PvP titles can't be bought, "fame service 3k per fame"

BTW, before anybody says it I know fame would never get maxed that way, if ever, but you can still buy massive amounts of points towards the title.

I suppose I am already part of the second type, and I prefer that. The only load I ever blew was for obsidian armor on my mesmer, and the only title I ever cared about is Asuran allegiance for obtaining spectacles to complement the obsidian armor. If I had only one character, I might be much more interested in titles. Even with the recent announcement about account-based carryovers, obtaining them does not really appeal to me.

False. There's nothing about title grinding that will net you enough money to buy everything you want. There's nothing that drops in a common explorable that is worth more than 100k, unless it's an R7 perfect uninscribable rare skin. Good luck, especially in hard mode. UW/FoW don't count towards any titles.

The easiest way to get 30+ titles are doing mass PvE vanquishing, skill hunting(costs tons of cash), HM missions, mapping. None of those provide a lick of cash as opposed to constant farming of UW/FoW for the big name weapons. Eternal blade, obsi edge, PvP for ZKeys for the same things, voltaics, etc.

Power trading is the easiest way to get rich like that...and even that takes time and almost a sixth sense about where to be and what to buy/sell.

To answer the OP...I think I'd rather have the titles. If achieved the way I have described, that means I'd end up knowing every square inch of non-elite PvE...I already know the Elite areas almost by heart. Urgoz is still sketchy, but the rest I've spent so much time in it's not funny.

I'd take skill, thank you. You can buy your titles if you're rich enough, and having lots of pretty armor/weapons generally won't carry over into GW2 (HoM aside).
