It's just a game. If you guys know so much about how to make a better game write the shit down on a napkin, get some coders and modders, then make a new game yourselves.
Seriously, it's their game not ours. They said what will be in the game when we bought it and if we didn't like it we didn't have to buy it. Same goes with playing it. I think it's nice they're even trying to balance things out constantly for us. I know some game companies don't give two shits about customer service so just be thankful half of you will be happy with their updates. The other half will just have to accept it or not play (or just shut up). I don't have a number in front of me but I know there are far too many whining threads in these forums.
*Sigh*

i hate sf, but I hope the damage thing gets removed, as that was a stupid idea.
I am in 100% support of an sf buff from the damage, so long as the duration is cut down to a reasonable limit.

Godmode should be killed, that wasn't enough because you can still maintain it indefinately. Now they are going to buff it. PvE balance out of the window again I guess.
I bet it has something to do with her liking the SF farm, but now I don't think it's worth trying because Anet are making me lose faith in them. Well, unless this is a joke ofcourse. If they do it at least I'll be able to abuse it until Anet get into their minds, but abusing it would be easier than it is already.

Congratulations, until you find an argument against the reasons they should be killed I'll accept that you are bad ignorant and selfish. Liking something isn't an argument, it's an opinion and a preference.

Here the QQ'ing goes.
Personally I think it's great they're reverting the damage, if people want balance then they should just, (As has already been suggested many times), make sure that the Behemoth's always block the path .

do you want, further nerfs on Shadow Form, or make UW farming harder?
I went to Linsey Murdock's talk page in Guild Wars wiki to discuss the issue regarding to the Underworld and Shadow Form (which got a big hurt with the 50% damage penalty). As you read from the last developer update (when they added aftercast time for shadowstep skills), it stated that they may have further plans regarding to the issue of Shadow Form and ways to make sure people won't maintain it permanently. Here is what she responded when I ask her the issue with the combination of the 50% damage penalty and inability to maintain it (particularly boss and raptor farming):

We didn't say anything about making it so that you can't keep up SF permanently, nor do we have plans to do that. I prefer to address their ability to farm Chaos Plains directly rather than continue to hit the skill and hurt all the other farming builds. However, keep in mind, we don't want to completely eliminate the SF sin's ability to farm in UW. We just want to slow it down enough so that it's equal to the other farming builds/areas like the Smite fields.
|
Later, another person asked removing the damage penalty part, Linsey responded to the comment:
Quote:

What we did was a good start, but it didn't quite get the run to where we want it to be and it hurt other ways to use SF more than we would have liked. So we are going to tweak it some more. I think that what we have coming out is a better solution and I'm hopeful that we won't have to touch it again.
|
So according to Linsey Murdock, if they decide to remove the 50% dmg penalty, they will have to make Chaos Planes/UW harder. If they decide to make Shadow Form unmaintainable, they would make Chaos Planes/UW farming slightly easier. Of course, the second option would completely destroy boss/raptor perma-shadow farming.
So either way, ArenaNet would have to choose either making Underworld harder, or nerf Shadow Form further in the name of balance. Keep in mind that Shadow Form isn't always used for Underworld farming. I also use the build to farm bosses so I can get green weapons for the heroes (since greens are nowadays, nearly worthless).
As such, do you guys want Underworld to be harder, or nerf Shadow Form further?

Well it is about time they take off the 50% damage reduction while using SF! I knew they would eventually, cause it is just non sense, and it killed all over farms outside UW.
Thank God! A/E Sliver farming will be coming back! That will give me some extra things to do.

I believe it is a smart move on Anet's part.

As long as SF can't be kept up permanently, we have no problems. Lets just wait and see what anet do with SF before we start discussing it.

Eeeem, SF never used to maintainable and we still had plenty of farm builds? Being able to keep it up all the time was a serious overbuff, i think they should drop the time a little so you can't maintain it for X amount of time (like 50 sec sf and 10 sec downtime?).
