There's no reason to argue over whether 7 heros is bad or not. That poor horse's corpse has been beaten enough. 7 heros isn't gonna happen anyway. No need to get riled up over that.

I thought the multiplayer aspect was an option of GW, not a requirement? Maybe I read the package wrong. When I bought Nightfall, this was my first foray into an on-line game, and since I figured I'd be too n00b to play well, I liked having the option to learn on my own where I wouldn't get other players killed, or get screamed at. Plus, my schedule is kind of grave-yard shift, so when I play, it's just easier to be able to pick up and go and leave off when I need to w/o screwing up a group. I H&H'd to learn the game, out of consideration for those who are more skilled and/or hardcore than myself. And that's why I like the option to H&H, or join up with others.

That's why, there are guilds.
Play with your guild, and alliance.

This is the best post so far this year.
The difference since when I started and now is quite stark. If you get a bad guild in your alliance as I have in the past Alliance Chat is full of "OMG I NEED 2 GET THIS MISHUN DUN WHO CAN HELP?"....× 100 until someone gives in or the guild gets kicked.
Noone has any patience any more, people just want to get to the end to get their free green.

It hasn't even been mentioned about a hero cap change, so why all of the speculation. Oh yeah, that is what we do on forums to pass the time, speculate on.
I will pick up my case of beer on the way home "EARLY" from work.

But then again, you can find a guild that suits ur needs. If you have problem forming a group or interacting with other ppl. then ur in the wrong guild.
Having 7 heroes will just make teh game funnier for those who wants 7 heroes.

Henchman AI is the same as monster AI as far as i know.
When they changed faithful intervention so that heroes would use it properly, it also changed how those margonites used.
edit: i really wanted to know how and if they are changing some titles for the HoM update, i guess we wont see it now.

8 people = super bad plus mega overpowered.
5 physicals + order necro + imbagon turn FoW HM into a joke, under 45 minutes, legendary VQ in a month!!!
Remove 8 people, make areas with them into 6 people areas and double amount of monsters!!!
...Remember, 7 heroes will never be better than 8 good people. Heroes never get better. Players do. LETS NERF PLAYERS!!!

How big of an effect do you think being able to have a full party of Heros would have on the people that want to play GW with other people, honestly? People have been playing with full parties of henchmen since the game was released, and still the PUG exists, in whatever form it may take now. I personally have only ever been part of a PUG once, and though it was a good experience that one time, I far prefer to play the game with just a very small handful of people, and I do spend a bit of time playing by myself.
Adding the ability to use 7 heroes instead of just 3 likely would take a small number of people that would otherwise be in a PUG and make them into solo players, but I doubt that you'd see a very big change in the number of people who would rather play with other live players. For the most part, the players that don't want to bother with other players are going to H/H their way through the game, like I've done most of the way, and the players who would rather play with other people will still look for PUGs or go out with guildmates to play.
Personally, I could go either way on it. For PvE, where I play, while I would certainly love to be able to take out 7 heroes, I've done pretty good for myself with H/H groups and the small handful of people that I do play with.

They waited way too long before giving us an update that is supposedly "monster" in magnitude. Saying all this stuff about how this "monster" update is going to fix half a years worth of mindless Ursan button mashing in PvE, horrible map rotations, VoD retardedness, gimmick split builds winning gold capes because of broken mechanics in GvG, a years worth of HA being worthless since the post factions midline rit and paragon class fiasco...
Saying this now is like watching Private Poleski belly dive on a hand grenade to save the team, while afterwards the medic runs over to the mangled beefcake left over and tries to do CPR on it, saying "he can be saved!"
Granted, I commend them on coming out and attempting to appease a community that's been holding its breath for a long time, but a tremedous amount of damage has been done due to lingering problems. Maybe not all are ANET's fault, but generally can be applied to the degradation and limits of the GW system as a whole.
I mean in the high end field, within the last 2 months just about every single team save for Rebel Rising quit because of problems with the meta, or just plain moved on to another game.
On top of that, theres the issue of dead zones in guild wars, where its pretty much impossible to build a party not comprised of entirely heroes and henchies.
You can walk around many areas of GW and see that for he most part, places like factions as a whole are almost totally abandoned, like a McPlay Place at Christmas.
With all of that said, its hard to debate whether a single update can really infuse as much life into the game that is needed to revive it. On top of that, with the number of threads about this update being posted, ANET has alot riding on this update.
You could say this could be the beginning of the end, maybe a realization of reality for the community, or maybe ANET might actually come through on this one and give the community enough to stop the pitchforks and torches from burning through the server.
Either way, this will probably be the most epic update on Guildwars. Alot of people I know are throwing their considerations on continuing to play GW or going to another game like WoW on the outcome of this update and how much is positively effects the community.
Either way, in a few hours we might all just actually find out how good ANET is at CPR.
