Don't make it another PvE-bash thread. There is no reason to bash it for the large numbers of customers that like it. Is there?

Actually, if tanking was removed, a lot of defensive skills would be useless, yes?

I could be wrong.

I miss the good old times where:

-Strongboxes
-Griffons
-Firestorm and lots of more skills were useful
-I actually had to work for max damage weapon, and was proud of that weapon
-Where I carelessly use Cyclone Axe without creating a chaos with monsters going everywhere
-Un-inscripted weapons
-Lots of other skilsl that still had uses back then
-my characters could have any build, and not just nuker, MM, tank or whatever...

Mostly I miss what it used to be like when there was only campaign 1, in so far as FAR more people used to team up with each other. Not just for missions but for (optional) quests too. It never for a moment felt like a single player game then.

Also wanting universal damage reduction back

-Serious gvg tournament seasons instead of all those 'fun' seasons or long months of just nothing.
-the old PvP Tombs, the pre-iway and pre-spirit spam atmosphere there, those 9+ international districts, and the beautiful Tombs outpost, not that crappy fugly dark HA cave we got now.
-having *uninscribable* gold items that were actually valuable and rewarding when found
-having green items that felt really unique because the only way to get them was through *teamplay* in Sorrows Furnace (or even the pve tombs later), not those extremelly common, solo farmed greens that drop from just any boss around the corner in any explorable, sometimes even at triple rate...
ADD:
-when playing with other people was encouraged and rewarded, when the game wasn't Online Singleplayer RPG it is now becaue of heroes.

I miss:
1 Unlimited Minions
2 Killing monsters without having to chase them all over creation
3 Actualy having a feeling of accomplishment when I finished a mission/quest
4 Global runes
5 Un-inscribable weapons (apperently like so many others)
6 NOT HAVING TO FARM FOR POINTS TO GO FURTHER IN THE GAME (sry bout the caps had to get it off my chest)
7 Getting greens from Sorrows Furnace that were truly unique, now greens are too common
8 Actualy working to get to level 20

Personally, I miss (1) not being able to get max armor until you are more than halfway through the game (i.e. the Desert) and (2) not being able to purchase all skills until the very end of the game (i.e. Ember Light Camp).

Those two items - actually "making do" with what you have and giving you something tangible to look forward to throughout the game - really made a difference for me.

I miss 2 points of energy for every 1 point you had in Soul Reaping.

Man that was broken, but I loved it.

Going to Thunderhead Keep and listening to all the people begging for monks to join their party. And listening to people complain that they have attempted the mission 20 times and always failed.

I don't miss snooty monks whining about how the PUG was playing and leaving the group, the "monk strike" (although it was funny) and monks actually charging people to join their group.

I liked the feelin of when you had 1 or 2k that you were minted. I also remember talkin about the game's other features with my mates shortly after Prophecies was released, like "I was talking to a level 20 guy today, how cool is that?" and "It's supposed to take ages to get to that level", then when your first character became level 20 you felt like you were amazin at the game lol. Good times...

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one who was, and still is, thoroughly in love with Pre-Searing.
