There wasn't an update for me since the one on 08.14.08. Are you guys running any other programs or mods while launching/playing Guild Wars?

So this is a bit offtopic, but i need to ask:
Can they give me some kind of fake GW?(During the hack when i started GW the news window didnt show up at start screen)
If i got a keylogger, how do i find and remove it in the best way?
How could they change e-mail for the account in 20 mins? Isnt that supposed to take 2 days, and in case, isnt that a glitch and A-nets fault?
I also thought that the hacker must have hacked my e-mail account first, since they sent after a new pass or something, does that make sence?

According to our QA team, our last build was released on August 14. There was no build over the weekend. If you had already downloaded all the content from 14th August, they aren't sure why you were downloading more content on August 16. If you have more detailed or additional information, such as if you are using 3rd party software, please let us know.

The hacking fairies are.
Yeah but 3mb of unkown code is pretty dangerous i would imagine.
They coudl wreck havoc on your computer and steal your account at the same time.
And if they are doing it through Guildwars then theres going to be alot of trouble><
I'm pretty paranoid atm so i'll prob end up uninstalling and installing Guildwars.
Not sure if that will help but worth a shot.
ran some nortan scans too..

I opened GW and got the update about 15 minutes ago... after talking with guildies, I'm the only person who has gotten it. I use texmod from time to time (lately solely for Securing the Forest HFFF dots) but use no other 3rd party program. I have never bought gold, other accounts, etc.
EDIT: About 20 minutes after I got it, I had some horrible lag. I was sitting in my guild hall waiting for a couple people to be ready to finish a trade deal, and I got a 43, then 57 second ping. Afterwards everything was fine, but others on my network experienced no ill effects during this time. Only my computer (GW Client) seems to have been effected. I'm hoping this is just some ISP screwup, but maybe this is important.

Had my computer download some more files again today. Was playing earlier. Logged off for a couple of hours. Came back and the client went through the downloading and extracting files like for a normal update.
A short while later, a guildie reported the same thing. I think it happened to them again later that evening.
I don't run any third party programmes linked to GW. The only things I had running on my computer apart from GW were MSN Messenger, Firefox browsing the web and Media Player playing some music.

When I get home from work I'll log on to check. Several members were talking about it in alliance chat yesterday, but I didn't get any update.

I recieved a small one this morning when I logged on (around 200-250KB), I just assumed it was an undocumented bug/localization fix. After reading this I asked around, a few other people in my guild have been getting it as well, and a very few are getting it multiple times.

no updates but yesterday i had some random problem where gw was having network errors and wouldnt let me log in (code=26 i think), my internet was fine and i ran gw 10 minutes before. i have downloaded any more updates
i have a feeling hacking etc is just a coincedence, if not im sure theres something fishy going on (should that be phishy?)...are you careful with your password and e-mail combinations.

My guess would be: Login troubles -> Corrupted Files -> GW redownloads correct files when back up.
Occam's Razor. Fairies should stay in the fairy tales.

I recieved an update today around 6-7pm GMT, and had another a few minutes ago. Also, some friends said that they disconnected around the time of my second update as well.
From the number of people who seem to be experiencing the problem, it seems unlikely that it's something malicious, and more likely something ANet's end.
I should also mention that I'm not using any 3rd party software with GW, like texmod.

You only need to run spybot search and destroy rest assurd there was no update this morning I was on this morning.I doubt that texmod would have anything to do with it.It could of just been some files that didn't get updated on the 14th.
