Honestly, I could care less about them taking the time to make more heros... Most people probably won't use them anyways, and will only give a few minutes of excitement. If they want to add something into the game that would keep people playing, that would have to be some new content that includes new areas or elite missions. Adding new heros to the game really doesn't make much sense to me at this point in time... people are still going to be leaving the game probably for alooong time to come.
I personally stopped playing about a week ago, and have been playing a free mmo called "Requiem", which is kind of unknown but it is pretty good so far, and I am still playing it, so that is a good thing. It is the first Horror Rated Mature MMO to date, and it is definatley a quality game that is worth playing. It is kind of like WoW considering the way it plays, but in my opinion is it better because there is no weak ass trolls or evles, or cartoonish graphics. The graphics in Requiem are actually pretty damn good, and I've only been able to see the Starter island and the 2nd place... but it looks pretty damn good, especially all the blood and gore, which is great to have in an MMO. The hype on the game on MMORPG.com/gamelist.cfm is actually higher than WoW and AoC, and alot of other popular MMO's. I know that I have been looking at alot of free MMO's to give me something to do other than playing only Guild Wars, and I've checked out alot, and alot are not worth playing, but Requiem sure is. I really don't know why it ain't very known, because it is a great game... you really have to do alil research in order to find out about it.
But yeah, I don't think anything that they will be adding to Guild Wars anytime soon would keep people playing the game, sadly... HoM changes, skill changes, and Hero additions won't do anything about the bored of the game. I really love Guild Wars, but the game is going to die off unless there is some suprise expansion or campaign of some kind to give people something to do for another 6-12 months. Too much time until GW2, who knows what will happen to Guild Wars. Anet better step up their game plan and put some real time into Guild Wars. Not to mention, all these things said about Anet firing people, or people quitting, really makes you think what the hell is going on up there...
Oh well, I guess any little thing to keep people looking forward is good for the game now, but not sure about the long run.

Oh! I just thought of what would make a cool Hero: a Moss Spider!
I've wanted one as a pet for my Ranger, so getting one as a Hero would be even better!

I forgot abou that, who needs another mesmer having Gwen? XDDD
I'll fix it...
We have Tyrian and Elonian Mesmers.
We have Tyrian and Canthan Assassins....
We have Tyrian and Elonian Paragons...
We have Canthan and Elonian Ritualist...
We have 3 of every profession but Mesmer, Ritualist, Paragon and Assassin.
Warrior and Elementalist have 5 attributes instead of 4.
There are no female Elementalist heroines, either.
So the missing ones are...
Another Warrior, a female Elementalist, Factions Mesmer, Prophecies Ritualist, Nightfall Assassin and Factions Paragon.
My suggestion is:
- One Prophecies Male Warrior Doppelganger. Acquirable after Augury rock if you have Eye of the North.
- One Prophecies Female Elementalist Doppelganger. Acquirable after Augury rock if you have Eye of the North.
- One Factions mesmer Celestial Tengu. Acquirable after beating Nahpui Quarter if you have Nightfall.
- One Prophecies Ritualist Forgotten One. Acquirable after beating The Tombs of Primeval Kings if you have Factions.
- One Factions Paragon Dredge. Acquirable in PongMei valley if you have Nightfall.
- One Nightfall Assassin Mummy. Acquirable after Gate of Desolation if you have Factions.
That way we'll have 4 heroes for each professions with 5 attributes and 3 heroes for each profession with 4.

Cynn somewhat stuffs that theory though; Hero armour is usually utterly different to player armour.
In my opinion they should just unlock the henchmen as heroes, maybe a quest for each one if you want to get really extravagant or simply finishing each of the campaigns unlocks the henchmen for that campaign.
- We could have our third hero in each of the professions.
- It often means you'll get a choice in gender for your hero.
- There is no need for new models and heaps of development time.
- I finally get to take Eve with a decent build; she already has one of the nicest necro armour sets.
