Well yeah but 2 are different species lol. Is gender really that important for 1 class? I mean it's not like there aren't female ele henchies, Anet are hardly on a path to sexism because there isn't a female ele hero...c'mon.

Please Please Please Anet add this new thing as a Quest across campaign
I know more programming to do it but the "MOA" hunt was great and rewarding you had a sense of accomplishment in the end.
Maybe a head in NF arms in Factions legs in Profs and body in Gwen
then take all pieces somewhere in Gwen to power it up.
Something like that anyway would be fun IMO.

Nah... there is sexism because the female eles look like strippers... not because the female hero doesn't exist.
Of course, the two are corrilated to each other. People want an ele female hero so they can oggle her, just like many do now with Livia.

Ahhhhh ok I guess I misunderstood the problem then lol. I kept seeing the "no female ele" thing pop up and I assumed ppl were seeing some bizarre bias or something.
Guess I never oggled my heroes either because I a) am a female myself or b) they are pixels? I'm thinking B because I never oggled the male heroes either....
Thanks for clearing that up See? you do learn new things every day...

Livia's just a name in the party window for me...
Honestly, I think the people who are really desperate enough to turn to video games for things such as this probably are making female characters, as they can take their clothes off (pre-searing ascalon is a great place to observe this en masse 24/7 if you don't think people actually do this) unlike heros. Of course, there are likely people who do both...

I hope they do it like this. At least then it'd be something to do. If it's just "Talk to (Asura NPC) to unlock the new hero", then meh....nothing that great...just another hero to add to my long list of unused heros.

lol, it seems all the players they lost due to their stupid updates and such is
really kicking in and they need to find new ways to make people buy GW. it will be fun to see another hero, hope this one has special
abilities like maybe can use pve only skills? after all hes only pve right?

(this is not a complain, even when it looks like one at first)
A new hero? interesting. Sadly is a Dervish, a class I NEVER use as hero, and I will have 3 now?
Mesmer, Sin, Rit and Paragon are the other options I think (the professions with only 2 heroes right now) Maybe a 3rd dervish is a good idea; but a Ritualist trio should be better.

Anybody have pics of the new hero?
It would be much more interesting if he had multiple professions (i.e. all the martials ones if they one to make him a physical and maybe later another pve hero with the ability to be any of the caster professions). Or giving him the ability to be any profession would be awesome. As is very few actually use a Dervish hero in my opinion.

Umm, it will look like a golem. And you won't see a weapon (one of reasons not available for Hero Battles).

On the brightside, now Anet has 4 more Hero's to release as a bonus in the following months.

Ahh I am glad I didnt read this thread until now , helped me skip over all the QQ ing .
One thing that will be interesting is that if this comes in around the price tag of $60 in stores, will the separate games be going down to $20 or less?? (I might be interested at that to fill up some spaces in my accounts....).

May I ask for the source on that please? I thought it's weapon would simply appear larger, much like Jora's.

Quote from Regina (copied from OP's initial edited post)
"Thirdly, it's difficult to tell what weapons Mox is wielding, and this is another important concern in PvP."
So, I admit, I deduced that you cannot see the weapon. But what else could she mean? A scythe or whatever you equip on your hero is easy to identify no matter the size.

Maybe we will see a weapon but it might show the same skin, no matter the type? (just a guess)
Also, sorry for not re-reading the original post. Been trying to keep track of all the new info but you know how it is. Thanks for the informative reply though!
