I really don't get it.

The skills weren't actually buffed, per say. They're more effective at low ranks now, but at max they're the same. Besides, I'd much rather have more effective PvE skills at lower ranks than ursan.

UB isnt a nerf.
1. They removed the energy degen - buff
2. Still cant be stripped and Edenial no longer works and neither does it kick you out of form when energy reaches 0 - buff
3. All profeesions have the same armor and HP - buff
4. Not everything is removed from your character when you use UB. see pix below
5. They made it where r8 is the same as r10 - buff
Im sure I could come up with more. but lets see what they did nerf on it now
1. It last 60 secs and recharges in 60 secs - nerf
2. They changed 1 of the dual attacks to non-armor ignoring
Yeap I can really see where you call it a nerf
Things they didnt really change the knockdown still is multiple foes. You only have to be close to them but hey you already was to begin with.
|
Oh, you're serious..
They removed energy degen, yes. All professions have same health and armor, yes. But that really doesn't matter, because you can no longer keep it up indefinitely. That one change is what makes it a nerf. Also, that damage is pathetic. Trying to justify ursan is still good by posting shitty DPS at the master of damage is really contradicting yourself.

how izzy skill balance:
playerbase: "there's a problem, our bird has no wings"
izzy: "that will be fixed in the next update"
one month later:
izzy: "i fixed the problem! the wing-less bird is now a FROG! the problem has been fixed"
playerbase: "um... that frog only has three legs!"
izzy: "that will be fixed in the next update"

Yeah, people need to just take a second and read a bit more carefully. They didn't "buff" most of the skills. Well...they did, kinda...but ONLY on the low end. All it means is that we don't have to grind as much for the skills to be as effective...which is a good thing.

Sorry Faer, pretty much any damage dealing build does more damage. Not to mention they can do that damage indefinitely, unlike ursan.

I for one am loving the UB "nerf"
As a necro Ursan, I ran secondary Warrior with 6 blood, 13 SR, 9 tact and 9 Sword
Now since my sword attacks do nothing in Ursan, I put all of those points into Blood and with a tactics shield and "I am Unstoppable" along with armor insignias for extra armor.
Out of ursan I am still at ~76-86 armor and up to 100-110 when I am unstoppable is up. All those extra blood points allow me to use a lot of touch skills and stand toe to toe with a lot of monsters...
Vanqed Ferndale and Arborstone that way last night...No worries at all

No offense, but you're not reading it right.
What's being arcane mimicry'd isn't Ursan, it's Oath Shot or Assassins Promise, which is then used to recharge Ursan.

Are you suggesting people run something inferior to Evisc or DSlash with these comments? You are stricken from the guest list, sir.

Haven't had this much fun since, well ever. I like this even better then before because I prefer to farm in hardmode and since they range attack means they don't scattering it is great.
Latest run was sweet, got another sapphire. I used a cupcake for up the hill so I could bring another damager but was totally useless so going back to dark escape.
I am using the Perma Sin Sliver.

wow! the posts are just flyin in! lol
ursan nerf ftw....obviously.
back to the drawing board to make team builds that are exciting rather than spamming skills 1-4.
imo they only need to make solo farms extinct and titles easy to attain, not much easier but do-able within a set time period.
expect some nerfing very soon this update is too good to be true atm

I see one godly buff in this update, and that is asuran scan. Except for warriors every physical damage dealer can afford the energy to stick it on every single target: +75% DPS. This means that a single (crit scythe) assassin can deal more damage than 3-4 ursans (200+ DPS) and rangers can do 100-150 DPS.

Nerfing Ursan but buffing all of the other PvE skills and making them even more overpowered?
I think the developers were drunk when they thought of those changes.
Now the game is even more ruined... Just great!

Sigh... As has been said a million time most of the pve skills were not buffed just brought up so that there is less of a grind for them. (If you so desire) Now to wait another page or so before someone else complains about how the buffed the pve skills...

That's true if you ignore that they didn't just increase damage, they also increased the duration of the PvE spells. And that Sniper Support is suddenly the mother of all spike skills.

Thing about Sniper Support is that it's still got a 10% chance of hitting something with that uber-damage. I think I'll stick with the Assassin Support (that's been fun since I've Arcane Echo it).

[asuran scan][ebon battle standard of honor][way of perfection][critical eye][critical defenses][way of the assassin][way of the master][critical agility]
16 critical hits
9 scythe master
rest in shadow arts
zealous scythe
This is not meant as a serious build - it's just fun to (solo) whoop up on stone elementals without a single attack skill on the bar.
What's really funny is that it's just as fast as my farming build was in killing elementals (don't think it would work as well against the aloes though)

I can't see it being used outside of charr territory where it has a 25% chance, tried it on the Charr outside of doomlore and was a nice way to get ride of the dominators. Has anyone tested to see if this works on low level charr (kind of hope it doesn't).
10% chance is just not enough.
