I actually preferred using sliver anyway - didn't farm ectos often and was in no hurry when I did. So, yeah, this update actually makes the sliver version of the farm easier.
It was always a little tough to keep the mindblades grouped around you close enough for their melee hits (one group or another would always wander off if you went too far out of their patrol area). With ranged attack you don't have to keep them nearly as close to keep them hitting you. And the extra wailing lord are great for the hits you need to take out that first banished dream rider - not to mention its nice to have 9 banished again instead of 5. And, of course the change from 50% dmg to 66% dmg is nice since it effects both sliver armor and vanguard standard of honor - not to mention the boost to standard itself. The very last mindblade takes a long time to die, of course, but by that time my pack is full and the chance of another ecto is fairly small so I just skip him.
still need to try the dagger version or maybe the commando version - but overall, I am please with the changes to the plains and looking forward to an sf sin being able to solo tombs in a reasonable amount of time and being of some use in the dungeons.

Ursan got a long deserved spanking and shadowform sucks 17% less. Master of Magic should be renamed to Master of Prismatic runes and the PvPer's will now be QQ'ing about Thunderclap eles. Another day in the life of GW.
And the beat rolls on.

From reading notes, ursan seemed to be quite useless for farming, "lol DOA" purposes.

The only real nerf to Ursan was the 60 second recharge, and that's already been solved (Assassins Promise).

omg yes!
me and the alliance were talking about it yesterday and we feared about a nerf to [pain inverter] but it got buffed!
and i like the UW changes
now the permasin is screwed with the mindguys ranged attacks and SF didn't get raped to death so some farming builds still live
skill hunter of elona is changed?
what did get changed? one elite removed or something?
and about UB 'n stuff
i love to see the changes
raven has become more powerful and there's a recharge
now it's not constantly maintainable it's much better now
what can i say
anerf finally did something good

Yep, they made the lightbringer skill that was an elite skill into a normal skill, so there aren't 141 elites in NF now.

No, but the fact that they removed Elite Communing Spells to Restoration proves that ANet doesn't give 2cents about Communing.
And for Christ's Sake, the lower end of the attributes for the PvE skills were raised while the final duration remained the same. It happened because people like you complained that there was too much grind, so they made more grind do less to the duration.
Because no one seems to get it....X(

Yeap I can really see where you call it a (ursan) nerf

46 DPS is lame. Several builds do much better with some doing it to multiple targets.
Still, there are several elites that I still wish to see buffed: [skill]Boon Signet[/skill],[skill]Amity[/skill],[skill]Archer's Signet[/skill],[skill]Decapitate[/skill],[skill]Mind Burn[/skill],[skill]Mind Shock[/skill],[skill]Mind Freeze[/skill],[skill]Peace and Harmony[/skill],[skill]Word of Censure[/skill]
But they fixed a lot into usage, so GJ ANet.

I don't think it is likely that you will have 6 different targets to put AP on so that all ursan will be recharged. Most mobs, even in HM, are about that size. Plus, the ursans will probably be dumb and all put it on the closest foe, making only one person get the recharge. Using AP doesn't make Ursan last forever like you suggest. Not even close. However, the post below mine would work better, but Ranger Ursans still would die easer, so take your pick.

i guess you could still have perma ursan with: 5 R/Me ursans with 8+ expertise and arcane mimicry, 1 R/x with [[oath shot] others monks. then when ursans drop out of ursan (thus regaining attrib points) they mimic the oath shot, use it, everything is recharged and ursan is good to go. wouldnt that work? or am i missing something obvious?

I am greedy little farmer, I even went after the dryder and bone pits. In the end my inventory was so full I was droping purples to make room. (Ecto, Sapphires, and White dye in one run). I like this change.

Ursan nerfed!!!!!!!! Then again the 33% dmg decrease on SF and the damage/degen buffs will kinda negate it...AND you take out Cursed Dream Riders...looks like we're gonna see 2k ectos soon...
I think Flashing Blades is now an effective farming tool... FB + Sliver Armor = WOW. Just give him energy management and its win.
