While doing Chest Runs in Melandru's Hope, I always get amber wands... and they are purple.. and just for a bit of a change... I get a gold amber wand req13 spawning +12% fire magic. Gee frickin gee.

in EotN a-net found its newest gold sink
"Hey! I got this GREAT idea guys! The entire GW community is expecting good drops from chests in EotN! How about we make all the locked chests contain crappy purples! That would be the best gold sink since 15k armours!"

I got so pissed with EotN chests I have stopped buying lockpicks. However, a party member did get a Platinum Longbow this morning so I might have to go back.....

Gold Great skin staffs but req Divine Favor (or other primary attr like Energy Storage or Soul Reaping) !!
Why all the cool staffs have to be only for the primary attributes??
I found Ghostly Staff, Platinum Staff, Icicle Staff, Crystal Flame Staff... all req Divine. Only good use: selling them.
And when my Monk wants a cool staff the only options are craftables like Tormented or Destroyer.
And it's the same with Necros - ALL staffs are req. Soul Reaping only, when all they want is req Death or Curses.

This is a horrible design decision - making a lot of great awesome skins but making them ALL drop linked ONLY to the near-useless attributes.

Divine favour is useless eh.... soul reaping too huh...

For me the item would have to be those req 13 hammers i keep getting out of chests. I've almost given up opening chests simply because all I seem to get is req 13 hammers. Pretty frustrating when u see other party members open the same chest and get max dmg felblades or gold storm bows >_<

I used wrong words when calling those attributes useless, ofcourse they aren't useless but they're really bad for having a staff linked to. Except rare builds based on multiple DF or SR spells, having a staff linked to attribute of most of your spells is a strictly better option. I use staffs for maximizing my build's efficiency, for different energy or defense levels there are swap sets. There's no use for something like a general staff except for poor or lazy people that use just that 1 for all builds and don't care about efficient swaps.

So i repeat myself, now corrected:

I generally get an overload of bows. They aren't terrible, and sell for 5k min mostly, but once i wish i would get lots of scythes or swords :-).

Hammers and mesmer shit. Am I the only one who thinks Anet's trying to promote use of these classes by giving us more of their stuff?

I got so many good hammers, but the market is so small.

Then there's the zodiac staffs which are like req 10 divine favor, and then some shit about communing.

glittering dust -- it's used to craft virtually everything (at least everything I want to craft, including rare mats), and I feel obliged to pick them up, even though I have a full stack in my mats tab. I wind up passing up blues that could ID into something worth a decent bit at the merch, because dusts stack, and I wind up /resigning with 3 piles

any non max item drop from EoTN...how dumb is arena net? its for lvl 20s only and yet non maxe items drop, if the lowest lvl to play EoTN is lvl 20, what are u gonna do with a req11 6-16 gold axe? ahh it bugs me, but i also hate talon daggers from DoA...i got like 16 in my inventory....

I hate the Woe Spreader, althought that is rather specific. I have gotten about 10 of them. Yes, I have farmed for Elite Necro tomes. I have stopped now. The Woe Spreaders remain the Same.

Normal drops are accursed with the Raven Staff. They are evil. Evil and boring. One or the other.

Chests are cursed with the MF Blazing Wing Wand. They can go to hell. I hate the Blazing Wing wand.

I agree with the lesser guardian spears and raven staffs, and my own is Armind's Focus, i've only fought him twice, and both times it's dropped. It's a great focus, but i'm not sure i need than many...
