This.
Or any other game.
Never force yourself to play a game , it will only ruin it for you.

Guild groups>PuGs. Most PuGs arent very good and most of them have a rank requirement which turns many new HA players away from HA

I feel your pain to some extent. For the past, oooohhh, 8 months I've been moving from vent server to vent server, talking with friends, or just responding to PMs in game while sitting in Kamadan.
I just haven't found the drive to grind away at another title track (though I do poke at them from time to time), albeit a great option for the wayward gamer. Personally, I'd say find an active guild. Make some new friends. You'd be surprised what an active environment can do to get you back on your feet again. If you like PvP, find a guild that's suiting to your play style. The same of course goes for PvE. I assume from your post you ran Ursan DoA groups. If that's the case, you may be pleasantly pleased with the fact that many PvE guilds still do daily clears, post excellent times, and that prices on torments will go through the roof (hopefully) once the HoM changes go into effect; if that's your bag of course.
On the other hand; if you're just burnt out on the game, realize that it is of course, just one game. Try something new, or just take some time off. We've all been there and done it. Coming back after a decent break (especially post-massive-skill-changes) is often a breath of fresh air.

same.. exactly has the same problem.
I just made a guild, hoping that it will give me some sort of a new perspective toward what I can do in game.
My advise is to try something that you haven't before. Now, if you 100% sure you've done everything (doesnt include scamming ) then my advise is to take a break. If you still can't get the feeling back even after a lenghty break, then move on to another game.

Just play another game. A bunch of people are in your shoes, myself included. Log in, see if any friends are on. Nope, none on. Load up CoD4. Hopefully GW2 doesn't take too long, but there are plenty of good games out there. I'm not grinding. Not my thing, but to the people who enjoy it, more power to y'all. HA was fun back when, but the frustrations of finding a group just ain't worth it when CoD4 and other games just find you a match... a competitive one even.

yeah i feel your pain. really the only reason i play now is the ppl in my alliance, always a fun conversation goin on. i just log on and help them out with whatever they need. another way to keep entertained for a few days is make a pre char, do all the quests. pre is just so relaxing.
but yes, i think the best advice here is to take a break. over 34 months of play, ive taken 1-2 month breaks probly 4 times. certainly helps u to not hate GW.
personally, id say just sit and think of your absolute favorite game of way back when. something that sucked u in for a few months and day n night its all u thought about. and see if u can get the old console or whatnot and play it.
good luck

Oh yeah! Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. I looked up the cheat codes on the internet, and the game is so much better when you're a munchkin! An evil munchkin!
