Well, I've been trying to get past the Character Screen for 5 minutes now, can't even access the game.
So I 'd say I'm suffering from some kind of lag

this is roughly around august sometime. and i am very sure its not my internet connection nor was it my computer because this kind of lag only happens in Alliance Battle.
on normal days when i play pve on Korean Server the ping average 200 +-
Reasons i posted this is so that Arena Net will somehow try to solve this problem, how will you encourage players to play pvp or even team up if and when they do team up the lag is horrible.

I had incredible lag in HA a couple of days ago, lagged me out of my team whilst just standing in the outpost. Then caused huge rubber banding once in battle.

I find in general that the EU servers get worse lag than the American. That's why I changed. I'm an Australian so I don't get good ping on any servers to begin with, but it's markedly worse on the EU servers...and yet that was originally our assigned server. Just more proof why Anet hates us downunder.

That is unbelievable and does this happen often to you guys or was it just a one time kind of thing because i would hate to be playing with that kind of pings.

It happens always, when there are other players involved, most usually in Alliance Battle.
the horrible horrible lag is not a daily thing. first time was 100k 200k is the worse for me so far.
pve pings average 200-500 on normal days.
pvp pings average 1000 and above on normal days
lol just realise why i like melee in pvp and caster in pve. you cannot do squat with bad ping in pvp. but you can with melee. worse if your an interrupt mesmer. lolol

Yeah, I tought my provider was screwing me over again (Been lagging out all week b/c of bad connection. (My connection, not GW)
But today, I have a CONSTANT ping of 1.8K (Like, it NEVER even went below 1.6K so far, for the past 40 minutes) with spikes up to 3K...
Looks like Anet is taking a piss on their servers again. Don't worry Anet, just ask a small monthly fee to pay for your servers, so you don't have to buy the cheap-ass crap ones anymore... I, for one, would gladly pay 3-4 bucks a month for a constant 30-80ms ping...

Consider yourself blessed that you even get a ping below 50. I don't think I've ever seen myself with a ping less than 100.

Its been my observation that the Guild Wars servers have been bogged down with lag pretty much everyday since somewhere around mid-summer. When I compare my play experience yesterday to my experience a year ago I see a VERY notable increase in high pings, rubber-bandings, lag-slaps, the /stuck command, and the dreaded disconnect. Is anet note taking care of the servers the way they used to? Possibly. But what I think is a lot more likely is the fact that many of the players that seem to end up in my pugs and playing on the same servers as me are from halfway around the world. Since the ability to switch continental districts, the lag has only increased.
For the record, I'm an American player and I play on american servers (occasionally international if the US lag is real bad). Its gotten to the point where if I'm doing something like a perma sin run of the VS farm, or an UW speed clear or really anything in nightfall (lol) I have to ask if there are non-american players in the party. When I have a party with all american players the lag seems to be much more manageable. From what I've heard the European servers seem to be pretty bad or undercrowded, which causes a lot of European players to play on american servers. All this does is force your connection to try to continually communicate with people half way around the world, slowing everything down. I personally wish we could roll back the clock and remove the ability to play on different servers... it just seems causes too much lag.

Well, it's still going on. It lags like 5 to 20 seconds, then you can walk around and chat for like 5 seconds, and it lags again. Extremely annoying.
The rest of the internet works fine here, it's just GW.
