Removing both from RA I really wouldn't mind ^^ but you guys make a good point, I can't get reported for leeching or anything if I stop healing just to jerk around? Figure that beats dishonorable, no better than leaving but it doesn't hex me does it?

I hate leavers.
I hate people that just resign when they see they can't win effortless.
But I love RA.
Ironic, isn't it?

Seriously before glad points were introduced RA was just a place to goof off and try new things. There was some Balth faction gain involved, but that was hardly at all affected by being in a perfect group or a terrible group. Glad points in RA were the problem, everything else is addressing only symptoms.

Hmm Not my recollection of "the good ol'days" of RA... I seem to remember more leavers then a rail road control room... Some time there would even leave a nice note b4 they quit like "No monk' or 'Rangers are ftl'..
I like the fact that I get surprised to see original builds. lol I once found myself with a Meleemance who could tank (and kill) a Sin and Wa.. and we had no monk.. If you want cookie cutters.. go to TA and stay there. If you want to be frustrated sometimes, amazed others, trying your luck all of that time. Enjoy RA. I've never gotten dishonorable.. and don't think I ever will, despite the healing trio from hell and and escape ranger runner...
If you really wanted to leave in that situation, one shouldn't get you hexed.. do it because Oh Noes! This team build isn't my flavor of cookie... well.. until there is on outpost Holy Veil.. you might be in trouble....
All just imo or course...

I personally love RA for Reptile's reasons. You gotta be good enough to compensate the typical lack of skill from your partners. You take things too seriously. I haven't ever got dishonorable from easy 5+ hours of continuous (sp?) RA, and I play melee, which means I get all the melee hate BS.
If you don't have a TA guild, then get one.
Mod Edit: Lets try to not try and tell other people what they can and can't do on these forums, that's what the Forum Rules & the Mods & Admins are here for

Boo dishonourable is pretty good imho, since that was introduced I suddenly found myself playing RA more often then I used to. I personally don't care much when there's no healers, when people know what to do it's auto-win anyways (baed monks are baed mmkay).
As for the rest, this thread is kinda rubbish actually :P

I think that Dishonorable has been quite an effective way to deal with the leecher problem in AB and FA. There certainly is room for improvement. That improvement should go towards making it more strict instead of less strict.

Those people play for winning every single run, even if they end in the worst team, while you prefer to win the most possible runs in a given time (i.e. "farm" glad points). Well, that are just 2 opposite view of the game and nothing can be done about this.
Dishonorable was created to promote the way that's opposite to yours and... Well... That's pretty much everything that has to be said.

You are right I don't remember this. It didn't happen until glad points were introduced.
I played more RA than anyone ever should. I can't really place an amount prior to balth faction. I ended up with more than 100K balth faction from RA before the PvP extreme weekend. I hardly ever PvE'd, I'd finished the campaign three times, so when I'd log on and wait for my guild to start up PvP, guess where I'd hang out to goof off for a while.

What I dislike WAY more then dishonourable is the report function. I've seriously been reported once or more for the following things:
-Sucking as a warrior (there were 2 scythe sins in that team, I rest my case)
-Not resigning because there was no monk (NOT shitting you)
-Having connection problems
-Having baed sense of humour (at least I HAVE sense of humour to begin with)
-People thought I was synching (I only synched once in vizunah lol)
-Having a pet named 'Gary Glitter'
-Running a Healing Hands riposte wammo for lulz
-Running touch ranger
Seriously, gestapo tactics are bad, mean dumb people shouldn't be given such power, it's not healthy. And glad farmers that are too baed to play TA should die.

When I get a bad team, I like it. Because then I can rage and swear and I like that. The only reason I RA is because its' random, anything dealing with teams prior to joining is not for me. HA, GvG, TA..all boring. RA is fun because I can play with bad builds all day, while seeing other people use bad builds, while still getting a nice amount of faction and glad points at the end of the day.

Would there be any harm in decreasing the time limit to 5 minutes because as we speak I am dishonorable and stand in RA because either way 10 minutes of it= idiots timing out the actual match, but by raging at least I can show how bull it is. People leave after the match is over anyway even if it's an easy/fast one until they get a team they want, is it really that important if someone leaves before or after?
Might as well add a disclosure "You are entering a Random Arena, if you are paired with a team that is not within your liking or stands no chance you will have to wait it out as you will be punished for leaving" Just to show how great this all is.
I wouldn't mind if I had a decent TA team to play with but this time a night most my contacts are asleep and I'm stuck waiting 8 minutes with half a team that is /sitting and a healer bothering to keep everyone up for the entire duration.
Decrease it or scrap the mech from RA in general IMO. Just wasting my time, worked all day don't wanna stand here with a paragon "Oh **** I forgot my spear!" and a degen necro with flare.
Or better yet actually fix the bull of getting 3 Mo/W in one team, make it still random but in the sense that each team gets a healer, a melee, and 2 other, not 3 monks and a rit that refuses to resign. So much else you could of done instead but settling...it's expected when you can't even update on time.
Or even make it so 3/4 resigns will do, majority rule. No your flare spamming wont eventually magically beat down a team over several minutes...
