I was playing my warrior in pre and some female warrior pmed me and said" Hey Big man, you want to talk to me" I obviously said no thanks and they replied" its just selfless flirtation". I then promptly walked into the zone.

What's even more disturbing is that if so many people are looking for cybersex ingame, it must be working for some of them.

I was doing Duncan with someone else who seemed fairly normal. We were having a fairly normal conversation and playing through normally over the course of a couple hours. However, some... unusual comments kept popping up.

"hehe, I feel like such a lesbian right now" - we both had female characters

I ignore it. 15 minutes later we're standing around salvaging stuff

"I'm going to sit on your lap while I'm cleaning up"

I raise an eyebrow, but keep going 30 minutes later we kill a boss

"oh, sweet, are you going to kiss me now?"

At this point I'm minorly alarmed, but things are going well enough, and the comments are rare, so I decide to ignore it and keep going. Then, during the last area, all these pop up in short order:

"Are you a virgin? I hope not sweetie"
"This is just a trick to get my clothes off" (after casting some spell on he/she)
"I'm having naughty thoughts - nothing too serious, just oral"

So naturally, I turn off team chat, kill the boss, and grab my loot. What? I wasn't going through all that for no payoff.

As for me, some woman I never met (least I think it was a woman), messaged me one night and asked if I wanted to cyber. Now I've not met this person in game but she said we missioned a long time ago (this was sometime early 07) and I was like lol no thx not tonight.

He got a lesson in what "role playing" means, I play necros when I am not a necro so why not a woman when im a guy.
Sadly I think he just went away assuming I was weired, which I do admit to being.

I usually play female characters, simply because I can't stand most of the male character models. Something very similar happened to me during the Dragon festival this year, only with a disturbing little twist at the end.

Also, I saw this while I was in pre searing ascalon. It made me laugh at how desperate some people can be.

I remember there was always this retarded kid from London always spamming for a real-life girlfriend.

Everyone was telling him to STFU and GTFO and many would report to Anet.

Nothing ever happened, unless he got banned, came back and spammed again.

Saw him every so often over about a year.

a while back, before they started enforcing trade chat, I got sick of seeing all the trade things so I just started spamming "WTB your soul" I almost ended up buying some wammo's soul for a mini pig and some dye :P
exchanges like that are the most fun

can't really think of too many times I've been suprised/weirded out by something somone said to me right now though I know there's been a few.
