IF possible, I will make one of each race (depends on character slots/being able to buy slots online etc)
My first character is hard to decide, I want to make a Norn or a Charr first, but I also like the Sylvari and humans. Asura are not my faves but I would still want to make one of them as well ^_^

well since different races are going to have differen "special" things they can do (which i hope is not the case) and i quote from guildwars official wiki: "Different races will have different advantages and disadvantages, for example the Norn will be able to shapeshift into a half-bear half-human, with increased health and melee damage. It is presently not known what advantages other races will have."
i'll most probably have to wait and see what race is most suitable to take up the different professions. so until then. thats uncertain.
but i do know that i will be, like Guild Wars, making one each of the different professions and races. lots of mix and match there. hope characters slot is unlimited :P *big hint to arena net*

Well no official classes have been announced for GW2 but I guess you we can draw our conclusions. As far as races goes, I think people will still play human alot. I'll probably try all the races to see what I like the most.

Well, since we don't even know what professions will be... that's kinda a moot point.
But expect any guys with big melee weapons to be popular.
Anyways, Asura is DEFINATELY going to be low on the list. They need some sorta redesign or some mad unique buffs to be used by anybody. Maybe all the min-max D&D players won't mind playing a short/ugly character for +2 attributes... but other then that.

I know WoW and LoTRO both have itty bitty classes, so i think the asuran will do just fine.

Agreed.
I don't play casters but having a team mate 3 feet high nuke the crap out of something would be awesome.

With the mechanics currently in the game it wouldn't surprise me one bit that certain races won't be able to be certain professions.
This is only logical if you look at it.
Asuran Hunters? I don't think their arrow will fly as far due to their lack of height.
Still... Since nothing is yet confirmed about professions thusfar this is only speculation.

Most popular classes are Elementalist, Necromance and Warrior. I've tried all the rest, but, I always end up coming back to these 3 as the most fun and the ones I farm with most.

If Sylvari are thinly-disguised elves whose heaviest armor makes elementalists look overdressed (my sad suspicion) they will be the most popular.
If the designers surpass my expectations and go for a more alien, plantlike Sylvari (genderless would be amazing) then humans will be the most popular. Mostly girls with whitest possible skin and red hair. Yawn.
In PvP and high-end areas whatever is unbalanced will be the flavor of the month.
