Serious server problems.
ok first im not the only one experiencing this, all my alliance is getting disconected..stuck..we have like 30k ping..my friends in friend list are also getting errors 7...what the hell is going on? i asked around towns...and people are also experiencing this..

Employees of the server hosting location are having a hot wild orgy, putting outward pressure (as in, pressure pulling away from the proper connections) on the connective wires, thus reducing connectivity and causing lag.

A lag problem may not be server side - remember there is hundreds, thousands, possibly tens of thousands of miles of fibre optic/copper wire/cable between your house and the Anet servers. And along with that there are ISP hubs, nodes in and out of cities/countries.
It may well be - like has happened in the past - an international node that is having troubles. |

This is actually a serious problem.. thousands of players basically can't play....

Getting it too. Had a few 20k lagspikes, my team is getting lag too. It's been pretty frustrating these days...

UK no probs here yet other than not being able to connect earlier "transaction in process" (or something).Pings still reasonable in american districts

Weird lag spikes. One moment have like 6 fps with a high ping, a few minutes later 29 fps. Its been going like that for a while.

There was some problem earlier today as large numbers of people were all kicked off at the same time, at least in Pre where I was. Those few that didn't get kicked off said almost everyone just suddenly stopped moving and then disappeared. Don't know if it was just one server or what, but that would seem to be a problem on ArenaNet's end for once. I really think most lag is not their fault but somewhere along the line as I've been lag and disconnect free (until today's kick) since June.
Hopefully just a glitch or somebody pulling the wrong plug. Edit: Correction: I wasn't really kicked off, just lost connection for a few minutes and then was able to reconnect with no problem. Gotta say, this is getting old!!
I was on having the same problems earlier and figured ok, can't get much done so I'd do some simple farming on Budek Byway. Its a quick run and easy enough....3 tries, with an average of 3+ discons or yer dead! lags per run. Its a wopping 10 minute run!!. Here's hoping tonight I can actually play the game. Ant |
