Ok, new question.
Let's say I make a new toon, get it Legendary Survivor and get the statue in my account based HoM. If I delete that toon, is the statue taken out of my HoM?

Even speaking as someone who has 2.5 completed halls, this is a great change.

I'm curious what is going to happen with meta-titles, like KoaBD, Legendary Cartographer/Guardian/Vanquisher/Skill Hunter etc. This change doesn't do a whole lot for me if I still have to do all my vanquishing on one character for that Legendary perk.
Cmon Anet, lets make more of these titles account-wide already. People who have done the grind on one character will be happy they can show it off on anyone on their account now.

This is by far the best change in Guild Wars 1 in a long time.
From what it sounds like, many blatant grind-based titles will probably turn account-wide. I would say that a title like Drunkard, which is one of the most boring titles to get, is an immediate candidate for an account-wide change. I don't know what will happen with people with points spread out on multiple characters, but I would not be surprised if the game just takes the character with the highest "score" and replicates it across all characters. I wish that it could concatenate all the scores for things like "Wisdom" and "Treasure Hunter", but I don't know if they are going to do that.
In any case, it sounds like it doesn't matter one bit for GW2. The titles will be seen as all one account-wide thing in GW2, so your GW2 character will see a HoM with (for instance) Legendary Defender of Ascalon and Legendary Survivor at the same time, which would normally be impossible.

You will be able to choose if you want to show your current character achievements in HoM, or if you want to show all of your characters achievements in the HoM at the same time. There will not be two different HoM. So if you delete one character, all its achievements will disappear from the HoM. So the answer of your question is yes, if I'm not completely wrong.

Raises hand...
If I am understanding this right, the armor monument will display 2 armors if say, I have a norn armor on my monk and an asuran armor on my Dervish, right?
What if my monk had Kurzick Elite armor... what armor would my Dervish's HOM display for that armor? There isn't Dervish Kurzick Elite armor, right?
Am I misunderstanding the situation?
I think this will be a good update no matter what.

Thats a good question. I deleted my warrior a while back, will his stuff show up in the account based HoM? (I think only one thing would be added, so it don't matter much to me.)

I would think not, but those that are in your hall will probably soon show up in your other toon's halls.

The armors will show up on all characters, giving the profession model that fits the character. It will be interesting to see Primeval on a sin/rit, Silver eagle on non-wars, kurz/lux on derv/para, etc etc. Maybe all the armor sets will soon be equalled out (at least in location)? One can only hope.

um, its not info, its an update. Should it have been around since the coming of the HoM? Don't see why not, but hey, its an improvement non the less and it is not too late.

This would have been great... if they'd gone that extra step to actually make Valor not suck (Tormented weapons are the same as Destroyers as far as I'm concerned, I don't give a damn about either. I want to add my characters' weapons, goddammit!).
Still pretty good, though.

I for one don't really mind, all I wanted was 5 fully decked characters in GW2.

Everyone likes cookies!
Until we see the full implementation, we won't know how fully screwed you are...if at all. I hope for all our sakes there are cookies (or maybe delicate puff pastries) involved...But I have this sneaky suspicion that what we might get from GW1 in GW2 will be inconsequential. Access to "old" stuff? Unlocking of things others have to work harder for..."oooooo, look! Primeaval armor we won't see until the end of X mission on a level 5 toon!"...maybe? Customized, untradable trinkets? A Jim Carey style /talk-outta-my-ass emote?
We won't know until it gets here...In the event that it is something uber-cool, I sincerely hope ANet has the foresight to find a way to reward players who have "doubled-up" and filled their Halls several times over...like end-game rewards can be traded in, sold or transferred to another character, I hope you get to do something similar...
...in the mean time, keep having fun and prepare yourself for the biggest /doh of all time! Or, maybe, a really big cookie...I'm hoping cookie
