LOL at all the people saying warriors are finished.

In PvP, they are still EVERYWHERE. They are still good and used often, unlike Dervishes and Sins.

In PvE, anything really goes, so it doesn't matter.

In defence of monks, mesmers and necro's like to take ALOT of anti hex hate. The problem comes when theres more than 1 melee getting hexed up

Warriors are fine, pretty reliable class if you ask me. For those who think dervishes are better, give a warrior a scythe and watch him have fun with flail and warriors endurance

Nothing has changed in PvE to make Warriors any less "viable" than they ever were.

Yes, there may arguably be classes/builds that are "better" at some things than a warrior, especially in PvP, but that means nothing if Warrior is what you like to play in PvE. In PvP it's all about having the "best" - in PvE it's about what you "enjoy".

I hear killing things isn't viable in the game anymore. You are supposed to engage your enemies in diplomacy and get them to surrender without violence. That's why warriors aren't viable.

So what you're saying is, ALL melee classes are dead and you plan to kill with a ranger who is susceptible to the exact same anti-melee? The only reason rangers don't get a lot of anti-melee spammed on them is because Warriors are far more important targets for anti-melee spam. The only anti-melee that will be put on a ranger is a blurred vision and the rest goes onto the frontline because warriorz are strong.

You can have your fun degening them to death or spiking them? Dude, I want whatever drugs you're on because that shit is insane. You actually spike warriors?? You realise they have the highest armour value in the game right? And as for degening them to death, I'd tell whatever monks you play with to /uninstall because they're bad to.

I think essentially if we get past all the bad comments you made, what you've actually done is supported the case FOR warriors by outlining that, yes, there is quite a lot of anti-melee but ALL melee classes are vunerable to that and so therefore it doesn't really come into the arguement. You also brought up spiking, which doesn't really work when you spike a warrior, another plus side and so by running a 2 warrior frontline, you essentially can make 2 targets in your team very hard to spike just by wearing their armour.

Not to mention the INSANE pressure warriors can do as well as their spiking potential. The downside of Dervishs is that they are mainly spikers. It's relatively hard to pressure with a Dervish compared to with a Warrior and Assassins are pure spike characters and if one of your skills in your attack chain gets blocked, that's that spike RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed.

So, yes, in PvP terms Warriors are not only viable but also still the BEST way to kill stuff and pressure teams out.

Warrior is viable - so is every other profession - just find a good build and you can do almost anything. Pick what looks best or whatever fulfills your secret fantasies the most.
