I have had a suspicion that guild wars hates me for a while. It gets reconfirmed every time i play with a guildie/pug as peeps always get better or more drops than me.

i think GW do hate me... req13 dead scepter, twice, from HM locked chest ? uh.... and sup vigor, never got one. but few times i got the major vigor, i just merch it. rune trader pay quite reasonable.

to sum up, GW hate me.... definitely...lol.

Yes, a piece of computer coding hates you, even though it has no feelings or judgement whatsoever.

These kind of 'feel sorry for ourselves' threads are very pointless, the drops are random, and if you over farm an area, they get worse.

It always seems that everyone else is getting better items.
But it's all random, and if you see someone having a lot of those good items, then it's probably because he/she plays a lot more frenquently.

Of course I sometimes thought that GW hates me.... for giving me 12 or more birthday presents so far and 10 of them were white,2 purple. But all of them were different, so it's not so bad after all.
Sometimes you dont get any drops in FoW/UW and sometimes you get more than average.

So, no.. I don't think the game hates me... as it's all random^^

I have two ideas about drops rates...

People closer to the enemy get better drops...
If you are not me, you get better drops...

First idea in action is the poor 1hp bip in Urgoz
Second idea... you have to join me for a run and reap massive rewards while I get nothing (Anet nerfed me out of pure love)

Hmm, I dunno if it's GW that hates me, or its population. My drops are fairly decent, but there's one certain bald, navy blue, chubby monk in my guild who hogs all the golds when we're in DoA :> It's like I don't particularly get those "sell me for 50k" rares, but I get a good amount of low-quality rares that net me about 300 gp each. I manage. Somehow.

When I first tried the W/Rt smite build I probably had to run it about 20 times before my first ecto drop. I know it was nearly a week before the first one because I was staying up late on a Friday night and was just about to give up when I got it, and I had first gotten my Elite Rit tome the Saturday before.

Since then I've gotten plenty more. I have 22 stored now. My problem is Shards. I only have something like 6, and 3 of those dropped in one run.

At least I get screwed on the cheaper ObArmor material, I guess o_0

Frostmaw's Burrows. Spend an hour on the (imo) hardest dungeon. Some mishaps, wurms that sit on the shrine etc. Fine, I beat Frostmaw, open the chest.. and bam! A lockpick and an onyx gemstone. But atleast I had the quest reward... >_>

Can't say anything about UW and FoW drops.. I've never been there in all my years of playing.

I cant say how many times i have gone sunpear point farming hm and seen gold drop heaven for other people. and all i usually is some lame ass white.
