And there i thought that multiplying by 50 isnt that hard. Apparently u cant do it. FYI:
300 * 50 = 15000
400 * 50 = 20000
dont know if the bounties still apply given out by L/K priests. If they do, its and extra 20, and 250 for bosses. In case u cant do times 20 multiplication, here it is:
300 * 20 = 6000
400 * 20 = 8000
But like i said, i dont know if this was a replacement or an addition. In any case, U TAKE A BREAK from GW and learn maths

The update is an epic failz. Since as someone pointed that all posts with epic fail got deleted & he thanks God for it. I will say why it is an epic failz.
When Linsey said that she can assure players that the new methods of gaining factions is much more efficient then HFFF. After a few rounds of testing (when ABing, doing some competitive missions, vanq, etc) which is the boosted form of faction gaining. Nothing, I REPEAT, NOTHING comes close to gaining factions as efficient as HFFF(maybe for the lux but definately not kurz).
This was one of the main issues Anet is supposed to address. instead, they made it worse.
Thank God for epic failz update (as usual)
The only thing I believe which is thankful is for the HARD work, NOT GOOD work.
|
QQ more? And yes, vanqushing DOES give you more faction than HFFF.

Are you saying that isn't the case? Or is it just that you suck at PvE/VQing? Or did you simply lie about trying a vanquish?

Yes vanq gives more points than HFFF but wait ..... 200+ enemies in less than 35min on HM ? Wooah ! u get them all in line and use a sniper or what ? killing 7+ enemies per min . Dude we got Terminator here ! but yes , u can vanq a 220 foes area within 50min , thats the normal rate so it would give a hell lot of points .

Great update!
Lost a bit of bonus Kurzick faction, because I happened to be doing Luxon territory at the moment, but no biggy. I'm actually happy to re-do the missions, it's been a while for most of them. Looking forward to absorbing more of this update later today, but I haven't spotted anything that I expect to be upset by.

Actually it's not at all difficult to kill 7+ enemies per minute. In fact it's pretty easy, you just need the right skill bars to do it.

When I did my VQ titles, 200 in 35 minutes, or 300 in 50 minutes... was generally not that difficult. Even if it took longer, you'd still be ahead vs HFFF, due to shrine bonuses per kill/boss.

Like i said i agree with you but 200 in 35min doesnt happen in ALL zones , u cant state it like a fact and u know it . It depends on the zone and if u have speed boosts , sometimes its 220 foes 40min and sometimes its 196 1h and 5mins due to nature of the zone or missing patrols or whatever . I guess the 50x<foe number> only happens at the end of the Vanq so its only a matter of time that ppl find a short area with a lot of foes for an easy vanq+faction reward.

IMO
If ANET was concerned about the negative effects on the economy, the log in screen would say..
Gold Buyers/Sellers will be Perma Banned...
Not
If you get caught buying Gold, you cant play for a few days and were going to take back the 10 stacks of ecto you just bought.

There are tons of very positive comments over there, it's very nice to see she'll get some direct rewards from the community (I guess Regina is also gathering that from fansites), if only it wasn't that horrible wiki discussion interface...

This would be awesome!!!

For those of you crunching the VQ numbers, here's a small piece of actual data: I vanquished Ferndale in 57 minutes (had a delay or two along the way.) I ended up killing 244 foes (7 bosses). When you add up the bounty from the blessing with the reward for completing the VQ, that's 70 faction per kill normal foes, and 300 per boss kill: (237*70 = 16,590) + (7*300 = 2,100) = 18,690 faction. At 18K faction per hour, it will take a person 277.8 hours to get from start to finish on the title.

So what happened to the big HoM update? Account wide titles yadayadayada.
Is it just me or did they only make 2 titles account wide? And not one update to the HoM mechanics. Its not going to do much to my HoM. /yawn

I'm confused. The update says that if you don't have a book with you the NPC will fill in the pages. Or does that only become available after the update and not for what happened before?
If it is the case that you can't buy pages for missions already completed I want to add my comments to those protesting the fact you can't buy pages. Those of us who invested time and energy getting the mission titles should be able to get the books filled. Ok, perhaps you could increase the cost of buying pages so that the net money benefit wouldn't be that high for a period of weeks, but otherwise it seems very unfair to me - we should get the non-money benefits at the very least!
As others have said, if you're worried about the economy kill off the SF farming.
Also I would support giving the faction bonus depending on what alliance guild you're in. I.e. if you're in a Kurzick guild you get your Kurzick bonus. Then when you join a Luxon one you get your Luxon bonus. Or simply suspend the penalty that means you lose faction from one allegiance when you cash in that from another.

For people like me who don't give two S***s for AB other than to occasionally fight there for fun and not feel you have to grind in that damn place this is VERY nice. To tie pve only skills to a title and not give good options in pve to get ranks in them was horrible. Now the people who don't like to ab until they think they will go insane have options.....

Anet never said a lot titles would be promoted to account-wide. They implemented what they told us: treasure hunter and wisdom to be account-wide. Everythig else was just your standard Guru GIMME GIMME GIMME in forms of "make all titles account-wide" which is just r... ridiculous.
Okay, retarded.

So the person I quoted had the amounts wrong. However, that's for vanquishing. It just looks like there's less for people who don't like hard mode. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff there. It just (at first glance) seems to be geared towards the hardcore gamers who love hardmode. Unless you want to run the same effing missions over and over again.
Maybe the AB changes can get me back in there again. I used to really enjoy that a lot. Still a long way from 10 million though. and thinking about that just makes it feel like...grind.
