When you dipshit Pvp'ers can earn yourselves Chaos Gloves by gathering Ectos for months, then you should have Chaos Gloves. Until then, keep PvPing.

You obviously missed the entire point. So I'll fix it for you.
It's about PvP characters having equal opportunity to get PvE skins, not about a PvP player being able to afford chaos gloves. Someone with 200rps to use on Chaos Gloves could more than likely easily afford to get them on their PvE character.
The fact it takes you months to earn Chaos Gloves is funny though.

Since when was doing well in AT/MAT a disability ramp? You clearly have no clue what you're talking about.
Yikes!

If you need incentive to PvP then you probably shouldn't be playing PvP.

They should allow pve characters to have access to pvp only skins via rp or some other method.
These beauts comes to mind. (Yes the second one is avail. as a green but come on...)

This is what annoys me. If anything, the value of earning them in PvP is higher than earning it in PvE.
To get enough rps you actually have to do well in AT/MAT/preds/etc to get enough RPs. I'm not sure about you, but I think doing well in those is much more difficult than perma sinning in UW.

Oh... so /emote is "cool".
Let PvPers have something "exclusive". I don't play PvP, but I don't want that "ugly" emote neither.
IMHO, it's fine now.

I think they just don't want the PvPers tying up there servers trying to farm ectos for those god-awful looking and common-as-dirt Chaos Gloves, now that everyone and his dog has them.

You sure are special - special Ed. 5k x 75extos = 375k

PvP takes more skill than PvE so it's only fair to give them something exclusive.
That is all.

That takes time, not skill.
Learn the difference.
This is a reward for skill.

RPs are easy to get, the 200 can be easily gained from 2 months of MaT predictions. It is a pvp disablity ramp.
Now i wondering about emerald blade, BDS, frog scepters, est...
These were the pve high end market, and if Anet added these skins to the rewards, I would be very pissed. Both sides should have exclusive content. Of course all the pvp bias i see here on guru seem to be shining clear.

As pvper and pve'e, I say this is one of the best updates Anet ever done. Now I don't have to make extra pve characters to get that bandana or glasses etc. (not that I would but :P...)

Actually, it doesn't take just 200, it takes 50 items in the previous tier before you can unlock the next tier. So, it's 50 items * 20 reward points/item, so 1,000 reward points before you can even consider getting Chaos Gloves. This is even more for weapons, which have 3 tiers, which is 10 each, then 30 each, so you have to spend 2,000 reward points before even considering Exotic weapons like the Bone Dragon Staff.
By the way, with the rate retards are posting on here, saying "PvP should be available to PvEers", I'm kind of glad now that most suggestions are ignored by ArenaNet because I've realized the majority of suggestions are RETARDED.

I'd like to point out that this is something Andrew Patrick said has been in testing and coming since like, January, of this year.
Nice to see it's finally in-game, although some of the headgear (glasses, notably), seem hella bugged.

Ok, I'm happy for you PvP guys, I even PvP once in a while too. Now can we get some sportmanship back? I don't want a tiger or any other of the pvp emotes, but I would like to have a new emote set for the GWAMM title track. I don't feel satisfied with the zaishen emotes because it's not a strict pve or pvp title.
It would be nice to have a few PvE emotes and they don't even have to be as big or shiny as the pvp ones. Just something, to increase the fun factor.

Other then that - I really don't see why this would be a problem.
Btw - getting a bunny is also possible though time.
You don't really need to get good enough to beat the best teams. You just need to keep beating the first team and you get 1 fame. Sure, it will take forever to get anywhere - but that's the point of getting there through time.
Plus, considering you still get fame even for beating insanely crappy teams - you can also just piggyback your way to the bunny. Just have some good players that are willing to play with a guy that is just going to play a corpse most of the time. I am pretty sure one could buy them with all the ectos one can farm.
So if it's not just a skill thing - why keep it away from PvE guys?
|
Because emotes were never intended to be for PvE characters. PvE characters were always intended to be used for PvP.
See, here's the chain of events that ArenaNet originally had in mind:
Make a PvE character -> Play through PvE campaigns -> Discover PvP -> Go to PvP -> Play in PvP with PvE character, get rank, emotes, guild -> Begin making new PvE characters for PvP to look cooler, make PvP characters
All they are doing is making that last step easier. What you're suggesting is an entire restructuring of the system.

Great, now I get to see more people that look retarded with the glowing hands. Whoever designed those gloves should be shot. I mean, there is some bad looking armor in guild wars, but the ecto gloves are the first one that could potentially cause a seizure for people looking at them.
