Coming up to 80 runs so far and no bear just lots of other goodies and shards lol
it's funny when i go to open the chest i have a finger on print screen ready
and heart racing and the thrill of maybe this time LMAO
But why only 15 seconds to grab stuff what if you hit lag right at the time you do get the bear to drop
omg id scream.
Also remember its not just LA you can get the quest and also the diff dist euro America inter etc.
I use the LA Rift Warden Euro and "most times" there are a lot running to him whether taking that quest i dunno.

The chest drops are assigned to you so you can collect them when you are returned to town through that Uncollected Drops (?) window.

I've been running this stupid quest since 8am and it is now midnight and not one single bear. ARGGGG!
And yes I have no life to sit at my comp all day and farm for this impossible MPB. And I'll probably sit here the whole event and not get one. Thats the way my luck is.

i was looking at the many wts in kamadan/la/guru, guessed some ppl also won't sell them.. tho many of those wts may've bee fakes, god knows..

You are likely to see some fake auctions and fake bids in the High-end section to confuse lucky polar bear owners into believing that the value of their pet is dropping. In fact, it is not. Again, one of the ploys by rich and 'smart' power-traders to cash in during the event.

If you have a polar bear, keep it, and wait for the event to end.

Ye, no guesses on the number of drops will be appreciated...
I would really only believe the number of drops that ANET provides or the people that get them provide the proof via ss, etc. because otherwise, mentioning a guestimate of the drop number is just... silly.

People farming with a smile on their face, not neglecting their family time to do it, who approach it with a good attitude, who just say "congrats! Now I gotta go get one!" and leave it at that, or the people who are just plain nice people and aren't turning this into a big mess, those people in my estimation deserve something. Karma and all that.

This gets my award for most sensible Guru post of '08.

As for the bear, I'll finish the quests for the sake of completion, but I'm not going to obsess over it. If I wanted to waste my time hunting for virtual accessories, I'd join my 12 yr. old cousin in Zwinky-land.

I know of at least one confirmed drop. The drop rate still seems extremely low. There is also talk of bots farming it over and over, this last part I can't confirm.
