Anyway...
I havent met a lot of rude pve players..but pvp, more specifically AB. So many people there think their build is the shit and rage on you if you suggest they change a skill or two, or the whole bar ><. So I've just opted to sitting back and let the bad players be bad, blame their team, and rage quit the match.
It provides lots of lulz though. Especially when people are screaming CAPCAPCAPOMGCAP!!! and there's only one point to cap...yet they still abuse their shift key and yell cap...So, I'm usually the smartass that's like "Psh capping? NOWAI DUN CAP" Then they rage on me. But I asked for it and its lottsa lulz
Also..I dont meet a lot of rude of pve players, because honestly I'm one of them :P
|
Well at least you're honest :P
Honestly I like to make a little fun of those all too serious players both in PvE and in PvP. I know when to stop of course but I still mess with them a little. I guess I am on many a ignore list because of that XD

doing some ab with some friends, try to pug a monk, I ask for a strong monk, and get a mo/w, we go in without asking his build. We die, a lot. I ask his build after the match, its full of healing prayers spells, and bonettis defense.
Without a word, I kicked him, and we look for a new monks, but during the lfg period, we spam rank and zrank on him, and all put on obby armor.
Being rude is the only way to play gw properly after all when dealing with idiot monks that cant use guardian or prot spirit

I hope you are joking. You go into AB, a place widely known for being the bottom of the barrel in terms of skill. You pick a monk, one of the most critical parts of your team, randomly. You then enter without even checking his build. When you find it isn't what you wanted, you kick him without even tell him what you wanted him to improve, then proceed to be f ucktards. gj man. I hope you get raped to death tomorrow. People like you kill the game.

Starting from reassuring that everyone who plays ab regularly and competitively like its actual pvp is bad, and trust me you are TERRIBAD, all the way to telling people in RA everything they believe in and live life for is terribly wrong, and to the extents of destroying the people who gvg and think they know something. Being rude is gvg 101, i agree entirely with kyp.
In ab, i'll attempt to find the worst build i possibly can, run it, then laugh hysterically as i actually kill something. i tell ya what, playin people in ab is just like pve.. you pull that cute lil wamo to the corner... rape him with a build that should never win in a competitive game, then of course you have to call him terrible and rank him multiple time. That's not even the best part.. the best part is the fact that he will run right back to you and try it again.. GG ya'll are terrible
btw.. fail meth is fail

If I had to list all the rude things that have been heaped on me, or someone else, unfairly, in a PUG I had joined, I would have no time left for playing GW. The players have gotten steadily worse as the game has gotten older. My solution is to not ever join a PUG, unless it is absolutely necessary.
About GW Guru: I'm finding that the posts in these forums have become increasingly rude, obnoxious, and overtly racist. Unfortunately, their intelligence level appears to border on the Neanderthal level. But, hey, it's a free and open forum and anyone can say anything they want. It would be great if the forum mods would take care of the problem with some action. However, the only time I ever see a forum mod take action is when someone posts within 24 hours in the Venturi forums.

The game is not dead. Unless I am somehow the only one playing it, its not dead. If you don't want to help people thats your decision, and one I would be fine with. But being an asshole to people because their build didn't match your expectations is very rude. f uck you

If you want to be rude inside a match against other players thats fine. There is always trash talking inside any competition, hell I do it sometimes. But being rude outside the match to weaker players is not. Last I checked star sports players didn't invite 10 year olds to their team, then make fun of them for not being on the same level.

2 things I've observed about rude players:
1)They usually are guilty of the thing they are complaining about and have no clue that they are doing it.
2)They never have anything constructive to say. You never hear any of the rude players giving constructive help. I've never understood why people spend the time calling someone a noob, etc. and no time on offering any meaningful suggestions on how play the game better.

Don't make assumptions about people and just assume they are asses. Stuff like that is why people get into misunderstandings in this game.
I used to request people to "come to me" all the time when I trade. Why? It wasn't because "I was an asshole" or "lazy" but because my internet connection at the time would take around 3-5 miniutes to load a change of districts. Often times if I tried to come to you, by the time I'd load I'd have gotten a bunch of "are you coming," "???," or worse "screw you" responses from people.
Try to think outside the box. Not everybody is out to get you and a jerk.
And for crying out loud, people who think "your welcome" is offensive are the same people who think "gg" is somehow offensive/condescending. Learn basic manners please.

Simple. It allows the pot to call the kettle black so to speak.
You dont have to hold any kind of knowledge to call someone a 'noob' all you have to do is throw an accusation. On the other hand, in order to be able to offer constructive criticism, you have to hold a bit of knowledge of what you are talking about.

There's a difference between teaching people how to not suck and having general courtesy. Yes I know it's a game. Simple fact is, you invited him into the group in AB, where 80% of the players are terrible. You went in without asking for his build, just assuming he was dual stance monk, or whatever else you had in mind. And then you got mad when he doesn't live up to your expectations that you set but never mentioned to him.
Sure I get mad when I make similar mistakes with invites, but I try not to be a douche about it. I'll kick him, if he whispers me 'why,' I'll tell him he needs to improve his skill level. Making bad players feel worse only keeps them down in the shitter. If you want to play with good randoms then perhaps don't kill off there e-self-esteem? I can understand telling a random noob that won't shut up and thinks he's 'ub3r1337' to stop being a flying fag of fail - but it's usually the silent bad players that have the most potential. They want to learn the game, just like you did when you started, and having people like you berate them isn't going to help anyone.
And dead game isn't dead [yet] - though the topic on whether it is dead or not has been discussed to death.

Well, yeah. If you want to prove your e-worth as a good player, be a good player. Give the guy an advice how to improve, if you know so much. I know, I know, it's much harder than standing around in outposts showing your shiny gear and emotes (and others won't instantly notice it), but that's the difference in my mind.
