I would say no as it is mostly going after this or that and if you all fail and favour has just ran out well you know.

You've obviously never done an SC.
Favor isn't a problem - scrolls from successful runs.
You're not going 'after this or that' because you've gotten about three ectos in 20 minutes, which is still raking money. 20 of those runs, and you've gotten 60 ecto.

Don't waste your time farming online. If you want to give it a try go ahead, but doing it for ecto isn't worth it.

I am a big promoter of balanced groups for the enjoyment of the game. However, when it comes to making money, getting items, mats, or titles it's all about the SPEEED. With my guild we do DoA balanced. Sometimes we fail, sometimes we win, but it's VERY fun and you get to know your guildies. If I just want gemsets, I will most likely get with an alliance group and do the tank and spank method with the perma and the cryers.

same with the UW :-P
If i just want ecto's i SC it. If I'm just messing around for fun i balance everything. :-D Lets me use different classes, play different roles, and make the game that much better.

Also, wtf??!?!! 40 runs?!?!? Yes. I did balanceway once with a noobish team (a couple of them had done it before.) We had great fun, but about 15 ectos dropped, and the only one I got was the one from the end chest.

Bad luck sucks.

No.I haven't for this very reason I much if grouping do it with balanced group and not be rushed.I remember back in the day before the ascention patch how better it was to group up around lvl 15 or 16 which I did atleast this made for balanced groups which was better.I didn't even know ecto was down there at the time.

If SC's arent worth it, I don't see how balanced group is doing any better. Time it takes to do it with balanced= at least 4 sc's.

So true. The OP is not to have fun but t see if it is worth it. If you want to talk like they do in balanced get vent and ask the other players to get on. Most of the SCers aren't people that just grind to grind they do it and have fun while doing it as well. Not to metion with all the permas you can type and chat at the same time.

I ran probably 100 UWSC and i only seen one eternal blade drop....i say farming uw
itself for ectos is more profitable than the end chest
