The sounds are quite annoying, and removal does seem to be the best option imho. Standing all the way over by the material trader just so that I can hear PM's is retarded.

You only need to turn off 1 volume slider to get rid of most tonic sounds: 'Effects volume'. That's what I do when I need to hear my incoming PMs.

It would be nice to have 2 sound profiles, like cape and headpiece settings, 1 for in town, 1 for outside.

You knew what you were doing. You went out of your way to set up a macro/bot to spam yeti sounds.....for extended periods, for several days. You then taunted, and challenged people to report you for spamming/griefing.

What did you think would happen? Act like a spoiled brat, and get grounded like one.

actually, my girlfriend/fiance, light feathers (dj coastal) had NOTHING to do with any of it. she was merely there to just be by my side in kamadan. she supports me, and that's all i need. hell, for all i care, aNet can QQ me a river.

to be perfectly honest it proves my reason even more of just how two-faced and dictatorship-like aNet is when it comes to technical issues that they know they are wrong on. their philosophy of "let's suspend the guy who enjoys his tonic that WE implemented 'cause we constantly RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up and never make take the step to remedy the issues like this" is quite sad, no less.

no matter what anyone may say, they don't know the true intentions behind all of it and nor shall they. simply put, it was not "to grief people", "to act like an immature prick", "to gain attention" (even though it did in a very big way-- i mean hell aNet sent their leission (sp?) just to see what was going on because of so many support tickets), or any of the sort. i know my reasons and that shall stay between me and my gf.

i truthfully believe wholeheartedly that the issue is not simply the spam of yeti sounds, but the issue that TRUELY needs to be approached are the dupers, botters (for farming gold), ladder-manip, ect. i mean, my accout has the max amout of marks on it due to constantly getting 1 week suspensions at a time, and, i find it odd that now suddenly it's only a 3 day mini-ban? hmm.. how awkward... if i did not know any better i'd say it seems like a coverup for exploiting an undefined technical "EULA breach", imo. seems as though aNet did it to please the children of kamadan dist 1 to shut them up, no? but, that still falls under exploitation of "admin power" no matter how you look at it.

having said the above, i do not regret my actions. aNet needed to be sent a message and i sent that message to them. i only hope they aren't so far up themselves to where they cannot decipher what that message is.

here's hoping....

Dude I salute you. I only hope more people do things like this to shove it back in Anet's face. If they didn't permaban my account for such trivial BS like language even though this is a rated T game i would certainly joined you.

On a side note: I love how ANET sees no problem with you buying 10 additional accounts with real money for Xunlai TH predictions for free ZKeys while buying gold online will get you banned.

yes, i agree 100%. i won't lie, buying accounts solely for the purpose of zkeys every month IS like buying gold via real-world cash.

think about: for 1000k (1 mil) it's roughly what? $75? well, if you spend $29 for an account for the purpose of zKeys, you get free gold every month. if you get 40 zkeys a month per account that is roughly 160k (@ the current 4k ea price) times X accounts. basicly, you spent $29 for 160k. keep in mind, this is NOT a 1-time deal as with purchasing online gold! you get to indefinately use the account(s) month after month after month after month, thus, paying $29 for a near-infinite (not literally) amount of gold. it may seem confusing but in short, yes, it is like "ebaying".

I wonder why ANet keep putting these things into the game when they know they are going to be abused. There is nothing new in this, it's always happened, yet ANet keeps on adding this stuff. You woul dhave thought they would have learnt by now that adding super-sized noise making devices to outposts is just asking for trouble, but no, every month they trot another one out!

Yes, I'm sure everyone else has a "message" to deliver. Anet should stop banning all those farm bots and spammers, and while we're at it, why persecute those poor innocent gold sellers? I'm sure they all have their "personal reasons" for doing so.

You know it's been proven that criminals or those that break the law are the biggest liars around and they are always innocent (in their minds) no matter the evidence against them. The above once again just proves the research. Should have been a permanent ban imho.
