I have to say that some of the April Fool's skill function changes were almost revolutionary in they way they would interact with your camera (dazed) albeit obviously way over the top.

"Although we were satisfied with the current effects of Lucky Aura, it unfortunately provided more of a benefit than expected to certain types of builds (especially farming)."

That's my favorite. You gotta love GW "urban legends" when it comes to farming and drop rates. The GW community tends to not be the most skeptical or scientifically minded in that regard... lol.

I fell out of my frelling chair for real laughing at this. I was like, "No WAY!. Too much fun here. HUN! HEY wake UP. You gotta read this." In the end, we both were laughing so hard that tears were falling. Oo Just one day, sigh, would have been too fun.

Wow... it's been a while since I've played, but I wanted to see the April Fools joke, and I must say I laughed quite a bit.

Perhaps I should start playing again.

For a few minutes, I could picture in my mind a brand new, fresh and exciting GW1. I was already looking at the shores of NF, see myself teleported by sins in AB where I wouldn't use SF anymore, and people mapping mad in RA .

Good laugh, GG

Characters suffering from Blind cannot see distant enemies.
Characters suffering from Dazed will now spin in place. The camera is locked for the duration of the effect.
These exciting new additions will improve both the PvP and PvE experience by improving the interface display of your characters state. It is now much more obvious when your character is blinded or dazed, something that benefits front line and support classes in PvP. This also provides a more realistic environment for PvE players to roleplay in. With enemies you can't see and your display spinning around, you'll get a better sense of what it's like to be a Guild Wars hero!

Well, this is what Anet wanted to do/did with Nightfall. They wanted to reflect the conditions your character was suffering in the UI, like the Poison Traps in Fahranur turning your screen green and wobbly. I guess they abandoned the idea pretty fast.

I was gonna cry at the Ranger's pet thing. But then it reminded me of Pokemon and something smelled fishy to me.

I laughed so hard at the Overpowered builds that would come out. Build 1. 7 invoke lightning eles 1 paragon(you get where im going with this) that could be 7 lvl 21 invoke lightnings prolly dealing about 170 dmg each. Second build 8 warriors 8 bull strikes + zrank spam. 3rd R/a Trappers. Trap then have the enemy teleport to you. had they made these changes for one day it would have been epic. That and running 8 rits with signet of ghostly might would have brought back the best 15 minutes of HA EVER!

Read some of em and thought: Ah, pretty ok update this time, but then:This skill can be activated while dead, cant send chat messages and the zrank thing..
Kinda liked the beast mastery thing (didn't see it was april fools then) and thought, that would be a pretty good nerf for iway..

I gotta admit, the sarcasm is thick in the update. They coulda added something about old school paragons too though.

it'd be funny if the change really happened, even if it's just for one day. Of course things like SoS and some of the Para shouts wouldn't be viable, but at least it'd break the monotony of things around here.
