I cant believe people are sad enough to do this... Its getting really stupidly sad.

I bought an everlasting abominable tonic just for the sole purpose of spamming the /sit command and annoying people. It was fun for a few days but not being able to spam it in HB districts got boring so I just sold it.
Don't ban the sound it is pretty pro.

I already have a job, house, wife, and kid.
If they enjoy the yeti sound, then make it so that only the yeti gets to hear it. For those who dont enjoy the yeti sound, they dont need to hear it.
If anyone wants to hear it, they can get a Yeti tonic themselves or go out and fight some yetis.

I can't believe people are sad enough to whine about people whining about yeti sounds. That's a new level of low. Please step out of your apartment and get a job. Maybe you will stop caring about people caring about something.
See what I did here?

If these players would go enjoy spamming the sound somewhere OTHER than where hundreds of other players are, your argument would hold water. But they aren't, so it doesn't.
You've missed that those of us with houses, marriages, kids, and jobs are the ones that are irritated, and the griefers by and large have accomplished none of that.
If you go back a few pages, you'll see that the problem isn't that people enjoy the sounds in the game. It's that other people are better players than you, use the sounds to know what's going on during PvP matches, and don't want to have to pull up the options tab constantly so that small children can continue to exercise their "right" to grief.

And what gives you the right to force them to not do what they want to do with their tonic? What makes you think you can stop somebody's fun? I understand that way to many people think the world revolves around them and this is tripled by the duesch factor of the internet but grow up, grow a pair and deal with it.
(Note to Trolls: I do not own a yeti tonic, I do not spam it for shits n giggles I have yet to even notice it, I just cannot stand RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing QQ)

Same can be said about them. No one (ones that has actually contributed on an intellectual level) said anything about not letting griefers be assholes. We're just suggesting there be an option to turn off tonic sounds.

What gives you the right to annoy other people just to obtain your own selfish fun factor from doing that?
If you like the sound, hear it yourself, you dont have to force it upon other people.

It's bad enough we now not only have those damn huge Golems blocking the view of Mad King Thorn, but also Sinister Golems and Yeti's now.
But nooo, they have to make annoying sounds too!
I'd /sign for an option to turn off tonic (and minipet) sounds individually. That way people who love the sound and can't get enough of it can hug their local yeti, and others can simply mute them and be rid of that moaning and groaning.

As I remember, the in-town minipet sounds were removed rather fast when people complained about those. These are worse, and not a peep out of ANet.

I can't believe the amount of selfish and egocentric people to find here and on these forums in general. It has come so far people defend their 'right' to grief. Sad really.
It's not about QQ, it's about the overall fun factor of the game and the well being of the community, abuse of game mechanics and griefers.
Simple constructive sollutions were handed out:
1) Make it possible to turn off tonic sounds
or
2) Adjust the yeti sound so the yeti can hear it only
It's common sense, everybody happy except for the griefers. I feel sorry for the ones who can't understand the principle that was discussed here. The ignorant ones don't even know what they're talking about.
Well, once again, what did I expect. I'm a dreamer in a fantasy game filled with tards. Some people have more fun annoying others than playing the game. Excuse me that I lower myself to this, but F u c k Your kind!
I leave the matter in the hands of Anet, they will decide to deal with it or not.

lol, seriously? You can't believe it? Guru has become nothing more than a place for people to flex their e-muscles and to try and prove who can be the wittiest or most sarcastic. Unfortunately all it does is make them look like idiots (saying that you bought a tonic JUST to go and annoy people, for example).

Pretty simple solution, and the choice I have been siding with. Just make it so that only the person that uses the tonic hears it. Then the spammers can giggle at themselves all they want, and the people that don't want to be forced to leave or turn off ALL their sounds because of the immature kiddies, won't have to.
The ONE thing I don't get, is why Anet would understand that the minipet sounds in towns were annoying, and do something about it. THEN introduce these things, which are spammable and far more annoying, and sit back doing nothing about it. It doesn't make sense.

Mini pets don't make noises in towns so why do tonics? A random noise every now and then wouldn't be a problem but come on!
BAN THEM?

I say we ban all the other people who can't enjoy letting other people enjoy themselves. Some of you sound like old women.

Annoying people in town is always going to happen, be it dumb Yeti sounds or spamming your pointless zrank. Easier to just turn off sounds.

I dislike the yeti sound and the word ban is not appropriate for this thread Might i suggest remove?
Anyway i say remove the yeti sound its generally annoying imo and i dnt see why i should have to turn off/down my sound to enjoy standing in a outpost chatting.

The BEST post I've read so far!
Anyone asking for bans is just ridiculous, and anyone saying there's no problem is just delusional.

I agree where do I sign up for this banning stupid sounds.
How about..if someone "sits" then they have to stay sitting until they get up. People do this because they can. You can not spam chat so you should not be able to spam emotes.
Seems realistic

Asking everyone to flee from the district or turn off their speakers if they get annoyed is just SELFISH. We have the right to play the game with sound and hear the ambient sounds in the town.
Besides, turning off speakers or changing district does not guarantee that you wont face the same problem again in the future, when your speakers are turned on again, so it is not a good long term solution.

Many people are better players than me, doesnt mean im not good.
If you need to use the sounds during PvP matches because you cant come up with a simple build that wont let anyone die, i would concure that i am a better player then you. Its just such a shame Angelic Bond got nerfed, maybe ill come up with a new one just so i can rub it in your face. If you grief over a video game, i will stick by my original statement that YOU ARE SAD. The games ment to be fun, if your not having fun, then simply log off and play a different game, and if a sound can ruin your entire game play to the extent that you want that person to be banned, then you, kind sir, need to get anger managment.
EVERY single one of the guild wars sounds annoy me, that doesnt mean that i want Guild Wars to ban themself. I just turn the sounds off and listen to "MUSIC", you know, sounds that actually have deep meaning.
