I had two yetis last night in LA spamming away. It's funny how almost everyone surrounding them two started to tell them to leave LA or try and trick them to logout.

Good thing my sound setting was off.. (was listening to my Ipod Touch) so I didn't hear how crazy it gets.

I think a simple sound change for the yeti is all that necessary.

I have not had the pleasure yet but are they really that bad sounding? I just loaded up and went looking for a yeti but no joy

Since the sound is attached to the emote, I wouldn't be opposed to a-net disabling the sounds when your emotes are unchecked in the chat box. This way anyone who doesn't want to hear it unchecks emotes, and those who want to hear it still can, and the tonic users can still play with emotes to their hearts content.

Having said that though, I'm not entirely sure how much coding that solution would take.

What gives you the right to take away the only way these poor creatures have of communicating?

Lol, a certain person whose certain name starts with a certain letter "m" seems to be getting to people.
I personally find it hilarious at how pissed off people get about this.
GW music has like what, two different songs that just repeat?
The battle music, and then the not really doing anything music.
...
I should go make an "Add more music to the game" thread.

And that is why the issue must be addressed. Cause there's always people like this guy.

P.S. Your post actually helps this thread. Keep it going!

If you don't like the yeti, turn off your sound. Problem solved.

Yetti sounds are irritating and NO we should not have to go to international districts because people yeti spam. Tonics were a horrible idea to begin with, but now we are stuck with it. I would rather have an option to turn them off all together.

I have an idea. Why don't YOU leave town and we stay?

Nice going though, we all know you're a genius once you start calling everyone names.

The point is: Show me anyone who likes the sound of yeti spam, who listens to it at full volume (meaning doesn't turn it off) for at least several minutes.

Also, playing without sound effects seriously hinders your effectiveness, whenever you like it or not.

Oh goodness. Are people so bored with Guild Wars that they have taken up *****ing about the smallest details instead of playing the game? If you really are that bored, go ahead and quit the game.

I dream of a future where games had a special menu (a setting menu if you will) where people can adjust sounds and what not.

Nobody, in the entire thread (except for you) mentioned the MUSIC.
First two sentences were about the yeti tonic.
Other two sentences were about the lack of music in the game.
The point was, with the lack of music, there's no reason to even keep it on.
I wasn't referring to just the music bar, I meant the entire options panel in general.
Just keep it off and quit bitching.

Every time you enter a town, change your audio setting and then put it back when you're actually playing, try it yourself first.
