I got kicked from the game while doing HFFF for several days and found my account banned for botting as well. Sent a pretty upset email to Anet and got my account back the next day + apologies. The service is pretty good.

Anet ban thousands of bott accounts each week - (Regina and Gail before her have both said this on multiple occasions). Yes - they keep coming back but the fight has to keep going - and has been seen many times in the past with the wah wah wah threads - players do get caught up in it sometimes.
I was banned years ago (caught up in a bott sweep ban on one of the desert towns - wrong place/wrong time).
I also ignored a PM in game just before being banned (probably from a mod) and (still) have the special ability to run, and get stuck a bit, into trees/corners/obsticles on route to an NPC - which may also have helped them decide I was bott.
Several emails to support (from myself and others *outraged*) did get this sorted but they then go through your account in depth. Once they do that you will have your account reinstated, I'm sure.
May take a few days but you should be back on soon.
Oh, dont ask them for any free Greens (new at the time) or high priced weapons for the inconveniance and lost 'in game time' they caused you - they dont like it!!
If you have got macros set up to do mulitple actions because it is very boring doing the same thing over and over then they might uphold the ban.
If you play like you have macros set up then your support emails 'should' explain this and they will no doubt unban you.
Good luck.

QFT, even with all of the pretentiousness in this post.
Anyone who remembers about 2 years ago with the 3+ Elona's Reach International Districts that were just filled with bots. Those things existed from the beginning of the game, and only left because there were better places to farm in Factions/NF. I would sometimes just go in there and watch all the bots take the exact same path from the portal to the merchant, to storage and then back out the portal, all taking the exact same amount of time and running in each other's footsteps.

Were you running in a MOONWALK fashion ? Or were you a SIN doing the dance ? There's some serious bot giveaway behaviour.

scary stuff... It sounds like there is a big problem with the method in which bots are identified. Do they always PM you at least before they decide or what? I'm pretty sure bots don't have the required conversation skills so this should be easy.

Well I wouldn't be suprised if Anet banned you because your routes seemed incredibly similar.
