The only things I find really, really overrated are certain item skins (weapons, etc).

Titles for the most time part I respect, because even if don't they require a lot of skill, they still require a lot of time and dedication (say, Savior of the Kurzicks or Luxons, where you must HFFF repetitively).

So I still get amazed when I see a high title (KoaBD ones, Hero, Glad, Champ, Kurz, Lux, Lucky, etc), knowing I myself will take a while to get there (if ever!).

Of course looking at some posts on this thread, it could be renamed to "which title you hate because others got it and you envy it because you don't have the amount of required dedication/patience to get"?

Edit: Oh and on Monk FoW armors. Both male and female versions are way too common indeed, although I find it looks good. I might buy a set someday... lol if I weren't wasting money on my Zrank I could have one already, in fact. No regrets though, I like the shiny emote.

To each, their own. What one does with their time is purely their decision. If one finds it more fun to play a game than to go to a bar, so be it - it is their life anyway.

People make out of the game what they want. If you have a too busy of a social life to grind titles, have fun that way, playing for the sake of fun without titles in mind. If you like to be home and dislike social stuff, have fun maxing your titles out and stuff. And if you are really good at managing your time, it is very possible to have both a social life and max titles out.

It is really difficult to please everyone. Show your low rank at HA and hear a sound "GTFO noob, l2p"! Show your rank 14-15, and hear a sound "get a life, loser".

What people really need to do is respect the way the others decided to spend his/her time.

In 3 years my mind hasn't changed: I vote for Firey Dragon Swords and their little sisters Icy Dragon Swords. The skin is ugly, and it always comes with a pervert mending wammo dancing around female monks in towns.

most overrated thing in gw: c + space
most overrated title: all of them. every title can be farmed easily.
most overrated armor: fow with tormented shield. yes, it even might look cool, but its still over rated.
most overrated accomplishment: thinking your good at a dead game

I sigh whenever I see a shiny cape and a champ title.

Not to take anything away from Starcraft, Leeloof, and that other guy, but r15 has got to be the most time-intensive and obnoxious title to get, considering what a gank-fest HA is. If you so much as look at any of your opponents wrong, they'll construe it as a gank and counter-gank you immediately.

So if nothing else, the title itself is cool (albeit a tad small), and mad props for having the patience to grind that one out over god knows how many hours.

Oh, and every time Jaden flashes his Z-Rank while talking about being poor I want to smack him.

and chamlee will eventually get r15, aslong with everyone else. r15 is the new r12. with the amount of hall skips and hero teams, its easier to get fame at holds.

I don't believe any accomplishment in itself is over rated. It just depends on the mentality of the person behind it. Many people show off their pvp titles and think that gets them out of conforming to the group.

All the title specific bashing seems inappropriate, sure some can be farmed or bought with a credit card but bashing specific titles without taking into account the person behind the title is childish. The only problem I see with titles is those that use them as a crutch to show how good they are.

The most over-rated thing - people thinking their opinion is more than just one voice in a crowd.

If GW is dead why are people still on this forum? I stopped playing GW for 4 months and didn't even look at the GW forums. Why the hell would you? If you've stopped playing the game, get off the forum. It isn't for you.

I have black FoW armour and a pile of weapons that are shiny. I have a tonne of titles. Do you really think I care if anyone thinks they're over-rated? If you aren't in the same alliance as me the chances of you seeing it are pretty much zero.

The most over-rated thing for me would be having a pile of gold and ectoes sitting in storage when GW2 comes out. Go and spend it on things you like. You can't take it with you to GW2 so you might as well enjoy it. Spend your time and gold on things that make you and the people you care about happy and don't worry about what is and isn't over-rated.

Of course this is only my opinion and I could be completely wrong. Don't do anything that may lead to a title. Don't buy elite armour. Bin all black dyes. If someone has done something before, don't do it. Most of all, trawl through the forums to find out what you should be thinking and what will make everyone else think you aren't a poser.

Dunno, I kind of like most Fow armors, as good as any.. Warrior one sucks a lot tho.
Titles were useless from the start, it is a lot worse now tho.. All the idiots "bragging" with their lame GWAMM or w/e makes me really wonder..
as for weapons/armors I dont really like anything from EotN, everything seems quite fugly to me. Core/factions items still look best. Nightfall has some beautiful clothing, arm, armors

KSmod lets you show other people's armor in High Res in towns too. Takes some computer power though.

Most Overrated Armor: kinda tricky, but honestly most of them as there is no armor that will ever make you truly "unique" that someone else doesn't already have and that you won't see within 5 minutes of any major town.

True, but you can have a unique colour of armour if you dyed monk obsidian before the update. In the 4 years that I'm playing I never came across someone with the same colour as me and you can't produce that coulour anymore. It doesn't mean squad, but it's just fun to have something different than all the rest. Downside: I can't make spare parts for it anymore and it shows up as standard brown in the HoM.
