"Equipment" pack - big let down, but additional space welcome
The entire suggestion for having equipment slots was to make it impossible to accidentally sell your equipment. When you weapon switch, your equipment will still shuffle to the front of your inventory. Your equipment does not actually stay in the equipment pack, which makes it non-functional.

Actually that's what the "Hey, jackass, are you sure you want to sell your req9 obsidian edge? [yes/no]" box was for. 100% functional.

Don't store weapons you are actually using in your equipment pack.
Simple. Just store extra gear (ie, headgear for attributes you aren't using).

Hmm, my stuff seems to swap back and forth between the equipment pack just fine. Sounds like you're getting the dreaded PEBKAC error. Sorry to hear it.

I thought it was intended to solve our storage problems, because lots of people had multiple set of armors.
To add, if I weapon switch my weapons they stay together nicely in my equipmant pack, so I don't know what's wrong with yours.
And like Gift3d already said, if a weapon is linked to one of your weapon sets, a confirmation box pops up, asking if you really want to sell this item. So even if your weapon gets placed in your backpack, you still need to push a button to sell the weapon set item.

What gets me is the big irony of this all.
The characters that really need the equipment packs are the pve characters, because obviously you don't need much inventory space in pvp as there are no drops there.
Having looked at the zaishen rewards, ironically, it's the pvp challenges that get you the most coins. So if you are a pve player it will take a character about 2-3 months to get a heavy equipment bag.
It is a double irony that people have been looking forward to this, needing the extra storage so they can go out and do stuff without having to worry about the extra armours taking up precious inventory space, only to find out will take months of playing your character to get the desired equipment pack.
To me this rates as epic fail. Especially since I have 14 characters...but even if you have only one character you can only get some many coins in a day so it will take over 2 months if you play everyday anyway...unless you do pvp...very ironic indeed.
Example from today:
Kill Molotov Rocktail (HM) : 70 copper
Do Blacktide Den (with bonus in HM) : 50 copper (much more work than killing Molotov btw)
AB challenge : 175 copper total for winning 8 times and having at least one big win in it.
The only PvP I do are JQ and FA and random arena's. Considering that I will miss out on the big points. I dont do AB because AB is pretty much dominated by luxons and I just dont play both sides. Not my style. Which means that as a pve player, who really needs those bags I need over 2 months to get the gold coins needed for a heavy equipment bag as I said earlier...again EPIC FAIL.

Even funnier: introducing a slew of new items alongside a storage update.

I can see where Anet are coming from with the new rewards, in the two years of playing I've not before seen Fort Ranik get to 3 districts on the US side!
However, I am disappointed as a PvE player with no interest at all in PvP and with 5 or 6 active characters of my 10 that the equipment packs are so hard to get hold of ingame. I understand that perhaps Anet don't want Zcoins to become THE currency instead of ecto's or black dyes but I think a more fair method of making them available could be considered as the update works in.
It could perhaps be that Zcoins could also be made available by a 'merchant' NPC who will only talk or sell to a given rank (say rank 5 or 6 as with EoTn consets) in certain titles e.g. Sunspear, LB, Mastery of the North (and perhaps even exchange tournament rewards for Zcoins as well as Zkeys)? It would then mean that PvE'rs still have a challenge to raise their rank but are able to do it across the game rather than grind at one or two quests.

In around 5 days you'll have 1 20 tab equipment bag for a char, so in 1 month and a half you'll have it an every of your chars. Massive grind ? Not really *looks at eotn rep titles for 14 chars*
Bug in the system now is that you can't yet place the coins in storage, but that's being worked on according to variable sources ^^ But that shouldn't stop you from getting ahead and get those coins on every char
This is what I'm doing btw, since I too have 14 chars (But I do the AB quests too )

The only problem with this is that I dont have 14 hours a day to play this game so your plan fails right there. I am only willing to spend 2-3 hours a day max on this, which is much more realistic.
You will find that the 120 (not 130 coins) then is a matter of 360 a day and then it comes down to 7500 divided by 360 which is about 21 straight days for one character and that times 14 is 294 days if you don't skip a day.

So someone should spend 14+ hours a day to do the missions on 14 characters for coins huh? Then toss in another hour or so to kill molotov 14 times. Who has that kind of time?
So yah you're totally ignoring the time required to just go and do these missions.

Also don't forget that all 14 characters will need to be able to get to the areas for the missions/bounties and be able to do them all in HM for these rewards.

Their zaishen coin prices are way off.
Token systems in other games are ways to provide equipment and stuff to people, to do aways with loot luck and such things (e.g. WoW).
In GW, they are just heavy grind for very basic items like storage.
I do not understand why a necessary and convenient item costs so much.
A rare Moss Spider, a pure vanity pet/item, costs 5 Zaishen Gold Coins. That takes some time, but well... it is a vanity item.
IMO they should add a NUDE JORA Minipet or something similarly hilarious for tons of Zaishen Coins. Vanity Shields and Weapons you cannot acquire elsewhere, you get the idea. Something like the really expensive, coins wise, Everlasting Fireworks box.
But a BAG?
This is like giving you the storage you needed after you already learnt for months to live without it.

Well, first you should wait for the next quests, there may be "some kind of" balance. But I appreciate the subtle emphasis on PvP, honestly, AB is NOT dominated by Luxons, although I believe they have an edge. I played 9 games as Kurzick yesterday (with Guru people!) and we won 7, two games with more than 200. I was hoping to get into a dummy GvG game yesterday but didn't find the time. Seeing people PUGing again was very nice and I hope we, collectively, are all going to have more fun, and PvP will have its fair share.
You may get the bad very, very soon, if you're ready to pay for it. Yesterday night someone was already selling an everlasting crate, which requires 50 gold zoins! I initially thought it'd be akin to grind, but it's not if you get good fun playing.

Mission : 30 min with a guildie and rest heroes
Boss: 5 min on my own
Both HM
= 35 min for each char, 7 hours for them all, i agree it's long and boring, I don't do it all the time either, more like 3 hours I spend on getting those coins. And after 4 years of play, my chars can access any place in GW. Your point again ?

Actually, its 6 wins.
I will repeat the same suggestion i am repeating everytime:
1. Make zqeusts available once for entire account each day
2. Due to the 2. Increase Rewards by like 10-20 %
3. Forgot about that one, gonna check my previous posts
That will made everything fine. People interested in doing zqeusts for a good reward won't needed to repeat it on their all characters. Everyone will get good reward.

My point, you've totally missed....You're not a "casual" player and yet you still spent 7 hours in one day farming coins. Most normal people (jobs, school, etc..) don't have 7 hours a day to spend farming coins.
The costs are extremely excessive.
Now something like
3 silver coins for a 10 slot
1 gold for a 15 slot
3 gold for a 20 slot
is far more reasonable and may not fall under "excessive grind".

Obviously you don't know how to setup your equipment swaps because I have been using the belt pouch for years now as my equipment pack and all my equipment goes back to it when I change equipment during a match or mission. I use all four equip slots 1-4 and have them all arranged for different swaps I use. Everytime I change or press a different button the items I'm using swap out with the items in the belt pouch and into my hands. Everytime. So, maybe you need to study how to do this instead of needlessly complaining.
