Anet lost one star for the grind, lost another star for lack of alternative way to obtain these, lost another star for a non cascading system. Gained another star because these are really a great idea/item. Could have been 5/5

Star lost due to having to buy these. Another star lost due to far too much cash for just one pane. Third star lost due to the insane hassle it was to get a free one. Star gained because they did give us a free one.

Zaishen Coins: ** (2/5)
Lost star due to yet another item that has to be stored before spent. Lost star due to the bug with storage that should have never been there. Lost star due to no other way to obtain the coins (read spend balth faction). Gained star because there are some nice things to buy such as elite tomes. Lost star due to how much of a grind it is to gain coins to buy these things with only coins.

Zaishen Challenge Quests: *** (3/5)
Lost star for the pissant rewards you get in NM and half the time in HM. Lost a star due to them only being repeating old content. Lost a star for limited number in log. Gained a star for helping to revive grouping...now if they could only make pugs smart.

Zaishen Menagerie: **** (4/5)
This is a great feature and well done but the bug with not being able to recapture some L20 pets (raven, rainbow phoenix) costs them 1 star.

i rate the whole update as a whole a 4/10. the update seems to have been more for arena and them making money than it was for the gamers and community of guild wars. in fact besides looking at a couple things i haven't even played during the fourth year event so far this year because i an dissapointed. the few cool things they added, that don't require real money require grind. it still seems to me like arena is trying to find more ways to make money without adding anything of real value.

to be honest i would rather be paying for expansion packs, even if it took longer to get guild wars 2 out. if we where getting a steady flow of new content through expansion packs up until the release of guild wars 2 i would have been much more satisfied with that. instead it seems we are going to get very little real new content for years leading up to guild wars 2. how many gamers are going to be interested in guild wars 2 when they see that guild wars went 2 or 3 years without any real new content? i am losing interest in guild wars 2 more each day that goes by because guild wars isn't getting anything to hold my attention because there is no real new content. and most of my friends and guild members feel the same way.

I am generally satisified with the content of the update, but not satisfied with the price.

It is beyond reason that a simple name change or gender change should exceed $5. Moreover, the extra storage tabs shouldn't exceed $5 either, as they are less than half the space than an additional charecter.

I have already paid more than $100 for my chapters and additional slots. These services are just too much money.

No use for it, but yay that it's here nonetheless? It loses stars for me because HoM doesn't allow me to pick and choose what armors/weapons I'd like to submit. I'm sorry, but my favorite armors and weapons, the ones that mean something to my characters, aren't destoryer weapons and aren't full elite sets. "Sonata" requires a mishmash of armor from multiple sets to provide the image she needs to portray the character. Her Rose Focus is another huge part of her character. Not being able to add that is problematic to me. I'm sure it's not an issue for most, but it is for me. It's probably the biggest reason why I never visit the place. If HoM ever becomes more flexible I'll be more happy about it and perhaps use it.

This is one of my biggest issues. I think Anet missed an opportunity here to find middle ground. That middle ground being a cross between a gold-sink and bringing in income. I felt small changes, such as hair color, or hair style, should have been high priced gold and plat sinks while making larger changes, such as faces, names changes, etc; tied the online store the way it is now.

While I have no real use for the make overs, if small things like hair color were tied to plat (say 5K) I'd be more willing to sink the investment.

Overall I'm impressed and the hard work shows. Some disappointments in certain areas, but at the same time I never expected perfection either. As mentioned by others, there's still some bugs I'd like to see addressed.

The changing quests are fair a great stimulus to the game and community. But putting end of dungeon bosses as the Bounty just doesn't warrant the level of rewards available therefore not worth the time for me as a casual player.

I see no problem with this. Should also make them unsellable and un tradable. There is plenty of other stuff in this game to sell, we don't need yet another item to skyrocket in price and be unreachable. You want the prizes the coins offer? Maybe I am dumb but this place is confusing to me. If I take in a pet of low level and talk to the main person, they take that pet and I have to recharm to get it back? Confused and probably just won't use this feature, but I am sure its a great addition to rangers and pet owners.

Love the free pane. Don't like the price of additional panes and therefore won't buy them. I'll buy additional character slots as needed for the storage as I have already done in the past. It's not Guild Wars fault that NCsoft was not prepared to handle this and the update from City of Heroes (?) at the same time. It's also not their fault that you (and I, too) could not remember the name of our NCsoft account that many had previously set up, if we had ever used the in-game store. I used their support ticket and had my problem resolved in less than 36 hours.

Not a bad idea. Would have liked them to have new quests tho.

Haven't made up my mind on this year, so not rating. Seems to be a new form of currency being given as a reward to repeat things you've likely already done at least once. Might cause a "market crash" for things like elite tomes and zkeys which can be obtained through trading with these "merchants" that never were obtainable that way before.

Haven't used it, so again I'm going to refrain from rating.

Love having the option. There was a time when I wished I had made my main character female, but at that time he had already beaten the games and was obtaining many of the titles so I wouldn't remake him. Now there is the option, with a price of course, but I love him the way he is now and won't be changing him, ever.

Overall not a bad update. Players in the community got many things they wanted, some at a cost of real money, but hey, they put a lot of real time and real money into creating these things that were not in the game as it came in the box and that the community wanted. You don't like the price? Then it's simple don't buy the stuff because apparently you didn't want it that bad afterall.

One thing I've noticed around here - They give you what you want you cry about it (for one reason or another), they don't give you what you want you cry about it ... anyone need a Kleenex?

Great idea, awesome for my warrior since I have 4 sets of armor and needed a place to keep it, but due to the high cost and grind of the good ones seems like it will take forever to get for the casual player.

Cool idea, haven't really had a chance to utilize it yet but seems like a neat idea. Not real keen on it though since it's not really something I'd use much.

Love them, they are a lot of fun to do and keep me semi-interested. Plus it helps with the grind towards some titles. (Guardian/Protector)

Kind of a neat idea, but with the storage issue it makes it hard to accumulate them at the moment. Once that is fixed it would be 4/5. The amount of coins needed for things do not always equal what you can get.

All GW players have wanted more Storage/Character Customization, but making us pay for it was lame, (1/5) turning your game into a Cash shop with no new content is a step in the wrong direction, not the gamers fault you are taking forever to release GW2, this update is an example of a dev strap for cash and making the loyal fans pay extra when it's not needed......you won't see a dime from me only for GW2, and if you turn that in a CS game then i am done with ANET.
