But lets say you want a claymore or a longsword, hardly high coveted skins, but that I do like a lot - without an inscription system getting one would take ages of random drops.

You can say "You don't need one". Its true. But I also don't need a +19% damage while my health is under 50% and they keep dropping. Whats the point of useless weapons to drop?

To keep a high price on common skins?

I would prefer a system where you could attain certain skins by performing a certain task.

Ja, it's cool getting a totally rare and perfect Tyrian/Canthan skin, but that's not a terribly common event. I don't like looking at a cool skin, ID'ing it, and finding it useless. I'd much rather see a cool skin, ID it, and if the stats aren't good, be able to change it to my liking.

Anyway, the Chests in Hard Mode make getting perfect weapons pretty easy in Tyria.

Doing Borlis Pass last night, got a perfect req 9 Flamberge of Fortitude, 15^50, +30 HP.

Nice skin, too. First really cool Gold I've gotten in this game.
