Like the topic says, who will you be playing as in Guild Wars 2 with the new playable races. In case you do not know here is the current list of playable races in Guild Wars 2 (along with a short description):

Asura - The asura, who once ruled the caves and tunnels below Tyria, are an advanced race of small stature and large intellect. Having emerged from the depths, the asura aim to rule the surface world with their powerful golems and razor-sharp wit.

Charr - The conquerors of Ascalon, the charr are ferocious, warmongering creatures—the intractable foes of humanity. Now, as greater dangers threaten their conquests, the charr legions marshal their war machines to meet their enemies with deadly force.

Human - The regular citizens of Tyria, Cantha, and Elona

Norn - The norn are half-giant brawlers from the frigid northern lands who can shapeshift into mighty bestial forms. They've been driven from their homeland by a force beyond reckon, and now regroup among the lost dwarven ruins of the Shiverpeaks.

Sylvari - Not much is known of the sylvari, save that they are a race of sentient plant-beings, newly blossomed into the world. They are the youngest of the races, and are bound together by a common dream.

Personally I would be an Asura since there is nothing more humiliating than be pwned by a cute creature half your size.

My second choice would be the Sylvari since they seem like they would be powerful healers and Earth Magic users.....

So, what would you want to play as?

Tengu, I'll be deeply dissapointed if this race isn't playable

but otherwise human or maybe sylvari, none of the others interest me; norn are rather 'meh' to me, likewise with the charr, and I find the asura to be rather ugly/creepy and they annoyed me to no end in eotn

I don't know until I see what they look like in game.

But, more than likely human for my mains. Then, I'll select other races for the fun of it.

Does anyone know when they will be posting some of the new professions that they created? They said that they will be re-doing some to fit races better and to add more flavor to the game.

That like most other info on GW2 is simply not available, ever since that turning of the world or w/e article we've had zero new info so your guess is as good as mine as to when and what we'll be hearing from them.

hmm, on their site they say they are in the Alpha stage of testing (which has stated that for a while) so I can only guess that they will soon be ready to launch into beta stage... So they must be ready to post the new info soon....

I'll probably try out every race to see what I like/dislike, but just guessing for now I'll have a norn warrior, charr something, asura for casters, maybe a sylvari for ranger or something (they seem more like a spawn from melandru to me from the concepts)

honestly, atm I'm not even sure if I'm going to pick up GW2. if a beta ever gets released and pending if I get in, thats when I'll get my answers.

I want to be a non hairy norn. Transform into a giant bear (perhaps be able to transform into a werewolf type monster too? sorry I love wolves lol). I hope we get to summon the aid of some animals or something similar to druid in d2.
