My petition on their website is already open since 18th june. STILL no response so far almost 1 week later.
Really bad support imo. Always been like that (Remember the old Lineage II times).

Well, support got back to me after 2 hours when i e-mailed them, they mentioned that they are aware, and the devs are trying to get it fixed for people who received incorrect points or just no points at all.
They mentioned needing a few more days.

What you received in the generic message that they have been sending to everyone who submitted a ticket about not getting points. (Gaile wrote it).
Basically, we knew that already.

I submitted a ticket on June 19
Got an automated response then later that evening i received this
Quote:
> Hello,
>
> As you are aware, the distribution of May Xunlai Tournament Points took place on June 18th. Unfortunately, a problem developed during the distribution. Many players received their points, but some players appear to have received the incorrect number of points, and others did not receive any points at all, even though they did make predictions.

> The dev team is currently reviewing the situation in order to determine the best means to correct the problem. The team will be need a few days to settle on and implement a resolution. In the meantime, we greatly appreciate your patience as we address the issue.

Yep. Other regions players received a 1:1 translation of that.
For me, it kind of reads that they don't really know yet what the problem is

I could be wrong and they just don't know how to best fix it.
Being a software dev myself, i find it hard to believe that this XTH pts distribution system failed a couple of times in a row now. I can surely see that recalcing all the pts is nothing that's done on the fly. Assume 250ms per account calc and database access, so with 250k users it'd still be some 18hours (!). But if done properly, one can calc all this in the background, and make the results available to all users with one single SQL statement (and prolly a new build which then allows access to those database records).
We'll see if/how/when this is going to be fixed...
On a sidenote, i'd been long fired by my employer if i had the same track record than the XTH distribution. I hope you guys can get it fixed BEFORE the mAT....

They have 4 days left to fix it before the mAT starts and the predictions close. Originally, I had high hopes they would get it done in time. Now.....I'm not so sure.

The next tournament starting really is a harbinger for a riot by players(needed or not) if it starts and everyone doesn't get the freebies like they expect to the whahmbulance will be in full effect.
It isn't that I haven't gotten the points as much as it is their inefficiency in creating new content/updates without major issues.
Hopefully the new Alpha Krewe can assist in these types of issues

Honestly whether it is fixed or not, they need to unlock the XTH and let us make pics for this Saturday. I for one had no problems and got my points, although I am sympathetic to those who did not. If you leave this thing locked and won't let us pick just because you might have a repeat next month, then you are going to upset everyone. If you let it go and it happens again, than you only upset those who get screwed again. I highly doubt unlocking the system will prevent them from fixing it. Just come up with a consolation we are sorry for the inconvenience reply, give everyone 100 free points regardless of whether or not they got points or not (to show that you are indeed sorry for the inconvenience this has caused to some people), unlock the thing and move on. And if you can't figure out the problem by the next occasion when points should be distributed, you will have to make a decision on whether or not you are capable of continuing this event. But leaving everyone in the dark and having this months predictions locked out so close to the tournament is just terrible PR.

I agree with you, tbh. I wrote something not long ago about how terribly poor the last few updates have been handled (I'm not commenting on the updates themselves, just the PR). It's almost as if they don't know how to smooth things over.
Just give everyone a certain number of RPs, unlock the XTH today (before you piss people off), and say you're sorry. That's how you do PR. You apologize for shit, even if it's not your departments fault. I thought incentives were PR 101.

The suggestion that they give out 100 rp each account sounds good to me but I dont think they have the capacity to do that. They are having problems with the distribution of pts... I read this to mean distribution of ANY pts. Actual amount or an arbitrary number.
I think if the XTH Team could have unlocked the predictions board they would have already, I think they can not reset the board yet for some reason.
I remember back a few months ago we had a similar problem of people who did not get points they reset the board and were still able to give the points the next month. So I do not belive this is the issue that is causing the board not to be reset.

Well, if they just give out 100rp for everybody, that's a simple task that can be done in a database world in mere seconds / minutes, depending on the size of your tables and indices.
That would buy them at least 3 more weeks to sort out the problem and fix it for the next 'real' XTH pts distribution.
Sounds feasible to me - and 100rp's is something nobody can complain about. The only problematic issue is with ppl who got their points already, so you'd have to do some more research on that one, but again, that's not a big issue to resolve.
And i agree - managing expectations is the biggest problem here and always a daunting task for the people involved. THAT is where they should/need to improve a bit

I'm afraid they're just going to have to give off a random amount of points to everyone because this doesn't look like it's going to get fixed before MAT.

I used the xunlai tournament vote aid on this site and voted on 7 accounts with strange results.
I managed to get 50 points on my main account and 30 on my storage account ((With the same votes on both accounts?)) And friends accounts that help with voting ((Same votes made again)) Have so far got none lol

As much as I enjoy the XTH, the amount of time and resources sunk into a free service seems highly unbalanced.
So, what would all you "gimme mah free moniez nao dangit!" people want? Your free money, or a better game?
I'd go with the Live Team focussing on more important issues. Coz they sure as hell bend over backwards for you guys. FSM knows why.
