If that's how you were using your mes, you're doing it wrong. Besides, a nec or ele would do that better than you anyway, so it really didn't makes mesmers all that attractive to PUGs.

I'm going to have to give spirits in HM a go before I comment on how much of an impact this actually makes on gameplay. Cast time buffs is definitely good...but at the end of the day, the damage spirits do isnt THAT great so...we'll see. Signet of Spirits...Boon of Creation...Shadowsong + Epidemic? Hmm...
Otherwise, yea...CoP Nerfed..but still allows for A/Me solo farming because of the degen which is non condition related...while things like DoA HM & FoW SC got nerfed, so gg.
I predict FoC Spike/Esurge+Aneurysm/Deep Freeze + Mark of Pain physical gangrape as the next CoP replacement...we shall see.

They should make the desolation mobs give points even after resurrected because they res like crazy now... That way I could 1 shot them after every res and max sunspear!

Overall, it is a good update, but it does look worryingly close to putting PvE Mesmers into the basket Ritualists just came out of. We'll see how things develop, but VoR and CoP were among the Mesmer's primary means of baseline damage that wasn't simply using Assassin's Promise and Arcane Echo to spam PvE skills.
(Which, incidentally, Skyy High, is where - along with better attributes on the 'feeder' hex, when it matters - the Mesmer primary is superior to the E/Me or N/Me - neither of the above can use Assassin's Promise, although the E/Me can try and fake it with Glyph of Renewal)
As I said, we'll see what develops - but hopefully ANet will have something in mind if Mesmers stop being able to get groups because of the changes.

I was actually afraid of that, since the functionality was totally changed from a support skill to an actual resurrection skill. I already decided not to do anything in the Desolation until the crying causes some kind of nerf/fix, though. Does it actually bypass Frozen, though? =p

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Kurzick Mine Cleansers (in FA) have the 3/4 activation times for Spirits atm. *waits for the "that's because FA is PvE flames*

The changes to Well Spells, on the face of it, seem good. Now it'll be a Necromancer's version of a Ward, with a bonus if there's a corpse about, in so much as you can have it exactly where you want it, and not just where there is a corpse. It'll particularly buff those wells with supportive functions such as those in the blood line, though I don't reckon it'll be good enough for Well of Power to see any more use than it already does. We shall see.
Spirit spamming foes in PvE are going to be real fun with this update. Thank god I already vanquished Cantha.
