Fixed a bug that would cause GvG matches to end in a tie if a Guild Lord died when the tiebreaker triggered. All Guild Lords will now become non-combatants when the match ends after 28 minutes according to the server clock. Note that this time may differ slightly from your client's timer.
CAN SUM1 TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS?

I'm confused, does that mean enemy AI will not scatter? If so...Wooo.
I like the update all round. And i may consider actually playing my rit from time to time.
|
By heroes they mean monsters, i'm convinced heroes will never scatter from aoe in PvE ever.
ever.

I don't like this update at all.
I personally think Anet is trying to purge the game of all speed clears and farms. Nerfing cry of pain is a huge set back. I don't understand why they hate all the speedclears in the game. For instance, ursan. We all know how over powered it was. The biggest noob in the game could use it and still be qualified as a good player. Well so much for that until it got nerfed. I don't understand why they would want to ruin people's fun they just do. Speed clears that used cry of pain needed ample amount of organization, communication and practice. Is that not what Anet wants? I don't understand why Anet has to nerf everything that I enjoy doing. Go ahead and troll all you want, it's my opinion.

I thought you could just use the support on the Guild Wars website... do you actually have to do it from PlayNC?

|
Now that someone clarified it on the GW wiki, I understand. The wording in the update suggests that only heroes and HM NPCs scatter, which is totally useless.
It actually means "RoJ causes scatter"...but they didn't word it right.
SF is still stupid, Mind Blast is still stupid

Please read carefully. The section that note is under is headlined by saying "heroes and HM monsters will now behave this way." They just said "heroes" for some reason actually discussing it.
Although RoJ will still be usable in JQ/FA (like anybody cares) since the NPCs there are in NM ai.
Edit: @ Fenix: understandable, it took me 2 reads through the notes before I caught the RoJ thing too.

I'm happy to see so much effort, and so many interesting changes in this update. I don't agree with them all, but it's refreshing to see such inspiration. Thanks, Anet!

I won't know until I get home next week whether my 30 pts are correct or not, although I think my predictions really hit rock bottom last mAT. Not a real worry as I've been spending my Balth Faction on keys.
What really concerns me is the changes to the necro skills. Will make turtle killing in JQ a little more difficult, so I hope the RoJ scatter affects the quarry NPCs.

Well, they kinda missed the point of buffing the rits' primary attribute, but at least they tried.
EDIT: Just read the Signet of Spirits buff. Looks like they were listening after all! Wahahaha! This topic

I thought these changes were good, then I realized... most of the Rit ones are PvE ONLY. great. stick some of them into pve please. those spirits still die in like seconds and take 3-5 seconds to cast.
And VoR.... noooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Fantastic update! Nearly everything most players wanted. A slight nerf to gaybuilds like PS sins, IWAY, roj scatter, COP, etc. And the rits will finally be happy for a while again!
Thumps up!

The Magni Tournament has officially become the easiest to finish spirit spamming now. Not even a need to stand in the doorway and set them up, just walk in and spam away!

I'm more concerned about some of the PvE monsters now. As noted, the Paragons with Signet of Return and We Shall Return become considerably more difficult to deal with. But with the changes to the Rits, many monsters will also cause more trouble. Interrupting skills like Shadowsong was important to keep physical damage classes free from blind, but not it casts in 1 second making it much harder to hit. Not impossible, but more difficult. I just know they often overlook the monsters that use the skills they are changing. I remember Assassin monsters having no way to use a dual attack because they had their Off-hand changed to a Lead once.
I do like the change for USING a Rit, as the casting speed did make using many spirits more hassle than benefit. More importantly, they buffed the level meaning they will last longer. I do predict a nerf coming to We Shall Return though, as that just seems to powerful even at 25 energy. None of the nerfs effect me, as I don't rely on any of the skills that got nerfed. Some of them confuse me a little, but maybe I won't care since I'm not using them.
Anxious to see what this is like when playing tomorrow.
