I'll be taking the plunge and pre-ordering. So, yes, I will play GW2, but "move on"? I suppose that depends on how they compare, and which I prefer.

I do know that I've had a great experience with GW, unlike some of the jaded players that post here on the forums, yet continue to play. Anet has earned my trust, and I am hoping I will also have a great experience with GW2.

I'll try it. If I like it, I'll get everything out there, but keep playing GWO once in a while until I unlock everything in the HoM.

I'm undecided, leaning slightly towards "no". I'm rather wary of some of the changes that they are planning for the sequel. I fell in love with Guild Wars, not WoW, and I really hate the way GW1 has morphed into a broken grindfest. If Nightfall and especially EoTN (and the recent April update, etc.) are any indication as to what is to come from ArenaNET and which direction they are going towards with their GW games, then I'll most likely not invest in GW2.

But I'mma keep an open mind. We'll see how the beta goes, and more information (if that'll ever come out...). Any chance to experience again the Greatness that was GW1 is worth it in my book!

Sure. I love Guild Wars and the time anet has been given for GW2 makes it sound like it will be very good.

The HoM rewards will probably be crap, but I still have high hopes. I'm a huge fan of dragons, and since GW2 will be huge on the dragon theme, I'm going to be crazy hyped once its marketed.

It comes down to what GW2 is going to be like. If they keep it the same as they have in the first Guild Wars then I'll buy it sure but I won't be playing it as much for sure. If they totally screw it over then no I will not buy it. All depends on what they are going to the sequel and how they are going to go amongst doing it. I have already planned on leaving Guild wars in a few months, and not coming back until shortly before GW2 arrives. Guild Wars is a great game just not good enough to support the demanding need for new content. You can only farm so many things so many times before its not worth it.

Sure I for one will migrate to GW2

Up until then ill play GW and also Aion which comes out end of Sept...although Aion is subscription I will play this and its also Ncsofts next release ..

As I said many times before when Aion is up and running in NA and Euro only then it will trickle through any info regarding GW2 to the General Public

I have played this for nearly 4 years and have enjoyed every min of it.

Look forward to its release in the future

I would like to but like Ryssul Sylverhart said in a few posts up, not if it's wow light. If I wanted to play wow, that's what I'd me doing.

Doubt it. History has a tendency to repeat itself.. So, at this rate, given the same trend carry over onto GW2 would easily become a wasted investment as the changes they impliment often deteriorate the game more than help (i.e.: Smiter's Boon, Ether Renewal, Shroud of Silence, Assassins, Paragons, blah blah blah, the list can go on & on & on &...).

So to sum it all up.. No.

I doubt I will. If it's much like the current GW then I won't be purchasing it. Unless it's an exceptional game, I see no reason for me to invest in it when there are far better option for me to waste/enjoy my time on.

Doubt it. Originally I thought they were an innovative developer, and they were... before GW1 was released. But they relied too much on dirty tricks. Unlocks, and so on... then eventually titles... the point was always, "can we get some losers addicted?" and not "is our game balanced and fun and innovative?" Now they're probably trying to make WoWJr. with much nicer graphics. Count me the hell out if that's all they can come up with after all this.

I get a kick at all of the QQ from you people. That's right YOU PEOPLE. GW is a great game and has had its growing pains. It is better than WoW by a mile, but I can't blame Anet for trying to actually make a little money. The business model of WoW beat anet by far, but only because of the amount of drones that play that game. GW2 will be good and I think they are trying to ensure that it will be or they would have turned around and put it out immediately to bring in the cash and quit. So if you want to cry about it go to your mother and see if she cares.

Right now I'm playing GW just to get GWAMM. After I do, I'll probably leave the game again. Might do some farming after that to get the rest of the destroyer weapons in my hall, but I get bored of farming real fast and in general can't stand it.

I probably would move on to GW2, it does sound quite appealing to me. I doubt my pc will be able to run the game though, it's already getting outdatted. And I'm not gonna cough up 300-600 bucks for a new computer just to play one video game.

I don't really see how people can already be saying they'll preorder when we haven't seen anything of the game yet (except for a little concept art... woo?), and know so little about it. It could turn out to be entirely different from what you expected, you know. Yeah, you've heard how a few systems will work, in information mostly from 2007/2008, which could be outdated by now. So what? You don't know how they'll be implemented, nor if they'll feel smooth and precise or clunky and ineffective.

Personally, I don't know yet. Depends largely on what I see when the beta arrives. As of right now? I'm leaning no, if only from lack of real information.

Well lets see. I originally though gw2 would come out much sooner, which got under my skin. But since its still a ways off its not annoying me anymore. I'd have to wait and see what the game is going to be like, but I will most likely buy the game, create the characters, play it for a few days and then farm time towards any yearly benefits it might have while I finish up everything in my HoM on gw1.

I will also be playing D3 and Sc2 on the regular, so it would make sense for me to go for the tripple play and get gw2.

Thats assuming Warhammer 40k doesnt release a free to play MMO styled game. (World Eaters FTW!)

They knew it was going to be the last addition to GW1, so they had to introduce the HoM, so they had to introduce GW2. There was no other way around it.

Do you guys seriously think that just because GW2 will be a persistent world without being broken up into instances, its going to be a wow clone? You'd have to be very stupid and ignorant to think that.

How can you people complain about not having instances, as if there was anything at all good about them? Missions/raids (or whatever you want to refer to them as) will be instances, obviously, but there is no reason AT ALL anyone would want the entire world to be instanced.

Or maybe you guys are complaining about the ability to jump? OMG U CAN JUMP? ITS A WOW CLONE!

Seriously, defend these moronic statements or shut up about WoW.
