How To Improve YOUR Economy
Here's a thread to improve your money. So I thought we could make it a chain link, kind of throw our ideas together
So, I'm listing these many:
Dungeon Runs: Doing dungeons as a party, or running them. You can get a lot of money running them, but it takes experience and frustration. Some people like to mess it up or not pay, and you have to cope with it sometimes. Either way, you get LoD treasures, quest rewards, drops, and endchest rewards.
Farming: Do a lot of farming. If you find a good, uncommon one, you can get a lot of money. It will get boring quickly though, so it isn't recommended. Sometimes you can also farm feathers, dust, bones, ect. and get a lot of money from the salvages too.
Merching every white, blue, and purple item not useable/wanted: Id blues+purps, ect. A very easy to do, but not worth the time mentioning to some people trick. You can also salvage things to earn a lot of materials, and save a lot when going to craft armor/weapons, ect.
What would YOU want to ad?
Also, sorry mods, been having a hard time putting these threads, because it isn't REALLY a farming thread

One of my money making methods is to collect imperial commondations, Kournan coins, Luxon totems, equipment requisitions, and trade contracts. I use all but the trade contracts to get superior salvage kits, which I sell for 1k each to the merchant. It adds up fast. Of course the trade contracts are used to get and sell gems.
Sometimes I'll go keg farming but I haven't done that since the nerf. I sell all materials, rare and common, that I don't need and I have a store here on Guru where I sell items I don't need. My only other means of income are Zaishen keys. I tried selling some victory tokens just now but, unlike last year when they went for 30k a stack, I got only 8k for one stack. Not worth the grind in my opinion.

in addition to actually picking up and subsequently merching all your drops try id-ing all your white items instead of just blues and such that require id-ing. Outside of low level areas the increase to the value of white items by id-ing very quickly covers the cost of id kits and gives you greater profit.

You can also sell dyes to the trader. While 10g may not be much, they tend to add up quickly when farming, such as oranged, browns, ect. from raptors. 10g/ea x about 100 is 1k from just the dyes. Or you can save to dye your armor lol.
While 1g at the merchant isn't a lot, 10g at the trader can be a lot

Guild Wars does not have to be about money or items. Everything you need to play well can be easily obtained through normal play. Skills, armor, runes, and weapons are the only necessities in this game, and free, cheap, or collector and crafter options are easily accessible. Ignoring the player economy works for me. All the stuff you can spend excess gold on is optional.

Actually, it does. Ignoring the artificial player economy is my method to improve my economy. See thread title.
The economy you speak of is artificial in nature and completely optional.
Only the optional "elite" weapons and armor cost more in game. They don't have any increase in effectiveness.

really... just don't spend your money on stupid shit.
I realised that I was buying all this stuff that I didn't really need, pretty easily within a week of normal playing I'm able to buy stuff like armbraces/celestial compasses and chaos gloves etc.

I Actually agree with you 100%
All the good looking gear that's out there.. it is max spec, the same max specs can be found on cheap weapons and armor as well.
This guy knows what he is talking about Helix, but I don't blame you if you don't understand. Most people on guru don't understand anything people like me and MisterB say, but thats fine, you guys can enjoy making your game into a zealous addicting way of life where you will never be happy with the stuff you own by trading constantly and me and MisterB will enjoy our game experiences until the day the game dies.
EDIT: Wow i sounded like a serious troll there, why is the old gameamp.com ways rubbing off on me?

but if i said how i became so rich then everyone who read it would try and do it then ruin business for me. the same goes for every other original and efficient way people may have, so that's why you'll only get 'sell stuff run stuff farm stuff' in this thread. herp derp.

I understand completely, but I wanted those that don't completely enjoy the game to find ways to improve their banks and stop the threads of "how can I make money by doing..."
I do enjoy the game completely, but one of the other reasons I play is to enjoy my friend's company, and to make a lot of money.
It's not that I'm never happy :P

Bad thread title.
More people with more money does not improve economy.
Your thread is about how to make money, and has very little to do with the economy at all.

Please do not debunk the OP because seriously, if GW is all about how YOU enjoy your game experiences, make your own thread about it. Surprisingly there are many players who does not subscribe to your beliefs, hence the existence of mini-pets, everlasting tonics, elite armors, weapons etc, etc. I leave it to you and those of the same ilk to wonder what GW will be like if everyone just play the game like you. Forget the festivals, gifts, Nicholas, farming and just play the game. Don't tell 'others on Guru' they do not understand anything' because that is downright patronizing.
