No you are missing the point, it has nothing to do with how profitable a particular thing is but that it is broken <---- that's the point right there, see the underlined words? that's the point

along with UWSC, FoWSC, perma's running literally anywhere at will, RoJ, CoP etc... etc... etc... all broken, all need to be fixed and all seem to need to be painted in luminous colors, hoisted up on a flagpole with a mega-phone attached playing the comment "I am Broken" on a continuos looped tape for 6-12 months before a-net even notices it and say, we will look at this but will give no timescale or further info.

hmm... do you get the idea that it is bugging me a little?

Now all we need is an update to the PvP Z-quest so that it is limited by account thus allowing it to only be taken once per day per account, you know since it is a degenerative farm that hurts the game. Not to mention the amount of QQ we would see on these forums.

As for the current update:
Dungeons & Dragons is going free to play.

Then limit the PvE quests to one a day per account too.

You'd have to allow 3 PVE quests a day to get the same avg zcoin earnings. Anyway, I think sheer time and character slot limitations in PVE are plenty restrictive.

The PvP quests take more skill and/or time than PvE, which is why PvP rewards are greater.

I think Protective Spirit is pretty dumb. Ever occured to you that elite areas are not meant to be soloed by either an assassin or a monk?

The problem with many of the nerf suggestions here is that they always want to nerf one class but keep their FAVORITE class so that THEY can gain the upper hand over other players. If assassins are nerfed till they can't solo elite areas, why the heck should monks be allowed to solo the same areas? Because you have a monk?

And dont give the crap that one is invincible or easier. 55 and 600/smite are easy enough and near invincible, in many areas, if you dont suck at this game.

Funny how people are outraged because a company doesnt do monthly updates and doesnt stick to its time schedule after 4+ years of functioning. I would love to see which gaming company does that.

While i do agree that broken skills/exploits should be fixed as fast as possible, so people dont get used to exploiting and thinking its normal, i believe it isnt that easy, because anet really avoids doing new builds for just one skill change.

Maybe they got some issues with their update engine? Afterall gw never goes down for maintenence like other mmorpgs do.

Welcome to GWG.
I do find it a tad disconcerning that a projected 'update date' is so secretive.
Oh well, it's their baby, they can change it when they want.....even tho it's getting a bit smelly over the past few months.

I'm not going to address how poor this update is or how disappointing the lack of a skill update and XTH points is because they've been beaten to death.

However, I have to say that over the last few months I have been incredibly disappointed with the Live Team/CR people. I've played a lot of games and seen a lot of bad news delivered, but I have never seen it handled this poorly.

It's almost as if they literally have no idea how to smooth these things over. What ever happened to incentives? What ever happened to apologies? Hell, even if it's not your department's fault, fking apologize to the players you're disappointing. This is just ridiculous. If you're company is going to fk up their own game, at least do your job and learn to present it more appropriately.

Well, they seem to have reset the sequence so that it's started over from scratch prematurely with a new random number seed. Plus some lookup table problems as well since many people had their existing logged quests changed to different quests. Bummer because I was looking forward to the first & last Factions missions which were inevitably going to come up soon, and now they're just thrown back into the mix with everything else.

not from a single person perspective... but take account into how easy this farm was, due to broken mechanics--this caused widespread popularity. 100,000 people @ 30k/hr vs 10,000 people @ 60k/hr

shadowform is the main problem though, not so much the kegs (even though the kegs were still broken). its similar to ursan, sure, there may be faster builds out there which results in more profitable farming... but thats not the point, ursan made team farming ridiculously easier so that everyone and their mom was exploiting it.

How does that make Prot Spirit dumb? It's just about staple on a monk bar if you're venturing into HM. It has uses outside of farming.

First, thanks to everyone who's posted here (and elsewhere in the community) and shared their feelings and opinions. We're happy that you tell us honestly how you feel about the game. We know that folks aren't happy that the skill update wasn't on a day they predicted, expected, or wanted. We know that it's difficult to understand why game companies don't detail everything in public. The team's working hard and we know that because you can't see this, it's frustrating. We know you just want info and answers, and we try to give as much of that as we are able. We're very, very aware of your feelings and we've been keeping an eye on these conversations closely, and taking your feedback on board.

We actually didn't say that the content updates would be quarterly. The community just assumed that they would be...
