Default GWAMM = curse?

Mmmm..

I just got my God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals a couple of days ago.. maybe a week ago or so..
Ofcourse I had my title shown under my name. I had Voltaic Spear etc. so my outlook really told players that "this one has wealth."

Short story short: After 9 hours (slept, woke up)since my last log-in, I got an e-mail that stated:
Quote:
Someone at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx has reset your Guild Wars Game Account password for account [email protected]. If you did not make this change, please contact support immediately at [email protected].
Contacted support and gave the extra info they wanted. Apparently (and not very surprisingly) the IP was from.. oh yes, didn't surprise me: from China.
(Ni Hao (A Gold Farmers Story)

What is the worst case scenario I'm left with, if ncsoft really can give me my password back?
What should I do to prevent further password resets?
How on earth is this even possible? I have never ever shared any detail of my account to anyone I know or don't know..
If you can just reset a player's password and get it to yourself just by knowing his/her login-name.. well.. DUH? ^^

This song really describes how I feel at the moment ^^

Keylogger. Don't use the same password for everything, dont make it about your character, dont let anyone in your email, they can really screw with you then. Don't download random stuff, they can really take you out then. Theres quite a few articles on "password strength", one in Yahoo I saw this morning.

I believe there is a loop hole in log in security that gold farming sites use. Yes, there is people that NEVER share information to their family, friends etc. Nor do they download anything bad.

My theory:
1) DON'T TRUST public computers with any kind of password, AKA only log into guild wars with your trusted internet as the public computers can have a worm you might not know about.
2) A bug with log in, gold sellers have an application to bypass security and make a hit list to richer players.

Most likely #1, don't be shocked on how many school computers have spyware that sell your information to a company to steal from you. 20,000 views on one of my 9 fake hack videos people pissed off that this hack isn't real

Password strength =/= Keylogger

Key logged= Pass is dsa8f932ubhf9g, dsa8f932ubhf9g is keylogged.

I got hacked by someone in idaho...so don't feel bad. potato state kicked my ass.

to be honest, im pretty sure hackers wont care about titles, so that link is pretty shit.

I doubt that they can just look at people in game, and go 'Wow that guy has FoW armor and stuff, lets find his account info and steal his shizz' and then do it.

they probably go for the key loggers or people trying to sell accounts and scam them.

Never use the same password for everything. Learned that lesson the hard way.

Keyloggers are invisible, most are anyway. You cant find them, no files, its almost as they arent there.

that wont help.

Have you ever used the email for anything else and mentioned you played GW on a forum or aim or something that is linked to that email, because if so they may have you log in email...
